They were all Brooklyn Dodgers fans who moved on to root for the Mets. Brooklyn was the epicenter of the Mets fan base. Sonny and his kids should be talking about going to Citifield to watch the Mets play. Any family that proudly counts Brooklyn as their ancestoral homeland, and harkins back to the old Bensonhurst neighborhood, would NEVER count themselves as supporters of "the evil empire." The actor/actress plays the character, why shouldn't they incorporate somethings? They sure do put some of their own traits and whatnot in.
