Members tanyia2
GL: The 80's until the mid 90's was the last golden period for the show.

Members soapfan770
For the shows I watched regularly: AW: 1975-1979, 1988-1991 ATWT: 1981-1983, 1985-1993, 2000-2001, 2003 B&B: 1992-2000, 2002-2003 Days: 1982-1987, 1993-1998 GL: 1978-1982, 1987-1994, 1997-1998, 2002 Y&R: 1976-1999, 2003
Members quartermainefan
AMC 1980-1990: Greg and Jenny, Cliff and Nina, Palmer, Natalie, Erica and Mike, Donna and Cliff, Langley and Phoebe, Benny, Opal, Ellen...it was the real AMC. GH 1980-1985. I don't think there is any way to argue for any other era. Gloria Monty, the height of the adventures with Luke and Laura, Robert and Holly, and the Quartermaines at their peak, Rick and Leslie, evil Scotty Baldwin and Heather Webber, Noah Drake...this was the GH that made its mark. No other point in its history comes close.
Members Carolyn1980
AMC 1979-1989 (ever since, it's been on a downward spiral, and completely lost its identity, especially in 1991 with Megan McTavish's reign and the Natalie in the well story.....ugh). OLTL 1979-1983, 1992-1995 (and I'll throw in 1985-1987 for pure camp value...but no real substance).
Members CSF
AMC: 1970 to 1996. I know there have been ups and downs, but the show was great from the start. It had a very unique style that no other soap really had. It was truly Agnes' vision for the first 20 years. Even FMB/McTavish from 1990-1996 were pretty good, even though many feel differently, I've always considered that to be part of it's golden period. ATWT: 1985 to 1993 GH: 1979 to 1988 and 1993 to 1997 GL: 1977 to 1993 Y&R: From day one until Bill Bell's last episode as HW, Y&R was great. Members Gray Bunny
For my viewing experience... Days of Our Lives: 1995-1997; late 1999; moments in 2000 & 2001; first half of 2002. Guiding Light: 1997-1998; 2002-2003 I wish I would've started watching GL earlier, and know I would've loved DAYS from 1993 to 1995. Hooray for YouTube!
