way OT now but... i think that the reason they dont is because KC likes her, and owes her. She will forever be there in name now i think. I dont carfe, whatever works. If only other soaps could make it work and pelase the fans.

and i love it.

Writing off Tyra and Heather is a mistake IMO. Tyra's potential was squandered with her story placement and Heather just shouldn't go anywhere. I think Vail has shown chemistry with several people and her exit shows they have no true devotion to the Williams family. Patty is back and now it's just confirmed to me that Paul and Heather (or the fact that she's Patty) will play a tiny role in this. It's confirming to me that this is a soon to be forgotten plot driven tale. That's some Lynn Latham sh!t. Shame because I do think Stacy Haiduk had potential.

The show at the moment reminds me a great deal of Latham's final year, just with a somewhat slower pacing style, and yeah, it's crappy and lazy writing.

I do see that, these stories are similar, but better executed and slower paced. Still, I'm noticing things are getting more and more plot driven. I still find the show very enjoyable, but it's certainly not great like it was. It'll be interesting to see how the year progresses and if they make improvements.

Tricia Cast is making me overlook all the ridiculous aspects of this story. She makes it seem so real and her performances seem effortless. The trio is doing a GREAT job. In the hands of lesser actors this just wouldn't work.

You did a whole lot worse. Many of the things were unforgivable.

But as I said, this is getting tedious, tiring, nauseating and what not and I really want to let these people live, people who want to post like normal human beings in the weekly thread without being distracted by petty & nasty message board "wars". :)

I still don't know why they needed to go back to Billy/Mac at this moment. I guess they thought this was the perfect time to show him torn between his duty and his true love, but having this on the heels of months and months of selfish, callous behavior and thinking with his dick makes him look awful, and doesn't do much for Mac. There was so much they could have done with Billy on his return and instead they've made him almost impossible to sit through.

I third or fourth the stuff about begging Tricia Cast to make more frequent appearances. I don't want Nina to stay around if they have no story for her but as long as they have her being as powerful as she has been since her return, I would love to see more of her. I've missed seeing Nina, and I'm so happy that they brought back the Nina who was tough but whose emotions were also constantly near the surface. When she was stuck with Ryan, and later Tomas, she would either be too emotional or she would be a complete zombie. I think she's at her best when she's around the Chancellors.

Are they going to have Amber in some of this story, since she was the one who helped bring Cane to Genoa City?

Oh wow - I love MJ and Cane!!! Yes I said it! They were electric. I would so love for MJ to be with a hero! They have alot in common - both impostors - and I bet MJ is WAY better in the hay than Lily. If he does stay - which is a valid question - I'd love to see him fight for his new lady and defend her from all the folks who will hater her. and I would actually love him for that.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
