GH : Actor returns?

Is Ted King (ex-Lorenzo Alcazar) returning to General Hospital? It's too soon to tell, but a spy tells soapcentral.com that King was recently spotted at the General Hospital Studios, sending off a flurry of speculation that the soap vet will once again be seen in Port Charles.

"[The show] needs someone to fill the void created when Rick [Hearst (Ric Lansing)] left," the source says. "Ted falls into that same good-looking bad boy category."

It is unclear if talks with King started before Hearst was downgraded to recurring status this year or after it became apparent that Hearst was leaving General Hospital for The Bold and the Beautiful.

King has appeared as two different characters on General Hospital. For four months in 2002, King appeared as Luis Ramon Alcazar. The following year, King returned as Luis's twin brother, Lorenzo. King's second stint lasted much longer than the first. Lorenzo appeared on GH from June 2003 until May 2007. Both characters share something other than their genetric makeup in common -- they were both murdered... or at least that's how it appeared.

In addition to his work on General Hospital, King appeared previously as Danny Roberts on Loving, and its spinoff soap, The City.

A General Hospital spokesperson did not return requests for a statement at post time.

I'll believe this when I see it. In his farewell comments, Ted King was spitting at Guza, Phelps, Maurice Bernard and Steve Burton. He made it clear that he didn't appreciate how his character had been treated as Sonny and Jason's doormat. King got nice reviews for that role on 24 so unless he is broke and ABC is paying him through the nose, I don't see him going back to GH.

Lorenzo? Isn't he dead. They wasted the potential he had with Carly.

With the real Carly, Tamara Braun. I loves me some Laura Wright but, as I've said a million times, her pampered, valley girl version of Carly is a million miles away from Sarah Brown and Tamara Braun, even Jennifer Bransford, who all played her as a rough and tumble piece of trailer trash trying to claw her way up the social ladder.

Uh NO, only Sarah's version would fall under that category.

Of course Ted King (mobster Alcazar or someone resembling him) is returning! GH is currently mob-free and I'm not buying it. The mob sh!t just has to return at some point!!!! Ratings have dropped and it's believed that, ironically, the lack of the mob/crime/action/suspense is the reason for the ratings decrease.

That's why Sarah is REAL Carly. Carly isn't a valley girl, she is basically white trash, the character changed with each recast. I don't even recognize the character since SB played her

LW and TK did have some hot chemistry though

What did Ted say? Do you have the exact quotes?

I hope Ted doesn't waste his time at GH again.

    • Honestly, as long as they don't do the shaky cam stuff, I've been thinking it's bad enough now to lean into the Peapack model. Film at a real courthouse on the weekend instead of making a set, a real park instead of Chancellor park....
    • Jon Michael Reed in an Afternoon TV review of GL criticized the 75-81 theme as looking and sounding like a Tampax commercial.
    • RHOM What a chaotic but absolutely great show. Miami just gets better with every episode.  I've always loved Las Cubanas, but they have gotten very mean-girl-clique. Alexia has always been such a great RH, but last season's success has gone to her head. She is disdainful of Adriana (who, though hard to like by some, was 100% in the right( and lowkey threatened by Nicole. Larsa is, too. I can't believe Larsa is swanning around, photographing her feet in lucite heels, thinking that qualifies as work and that this makes her superior to a full-time anesthesiologist. Bringing in the lawyers could have been so contrived (which it was), but it was so breezy and the lawyers were in on the joke of it all.  I can't believe I once found Lenny hot. Those were gaslighting, threatening words the Peacock mics picked up. No wonder those sweet kids are acting out. They are confused and probably feel lowkey abandoned by their father for this new hoe.
    • Nikki is looking better with shorter hair. GP lobby is back. Good to have another meeting place.
    • There's BFTD where the actor leaves the show and so the character is killed off an, as viewers in the know about BTS happenings, we are never sure if that death will stick eg  Hope Days Or when it happens as a plot device -the character is presumed dead but they are still on the show and for whatever reason living elsewhere for a time eg Victor Y&R Days is the worst culprit but it reflects the kind of storytelling Days employs - brainwashing, possession etc Shortcuts that provide plot without having to write character motivations.
