* ABC ranked as Daytime's No. 1 network in Women 18-49 for the second straight week (1.3 rating/869,000), gaining an impressive 10% week to week (787,000).

* During a week of pop music sensation "The Pussycat Dolls," prom and murder and baby reveals, "One Life to Live" surged a hefty 14% over last week in Women 18-49 (858,000 vs. 751,000). This week ranked as "One Life to Live's" most-watched week in 6 months - since week of 11/10/08. In Women 18-34, gaining a solid 12% week to week (335,000 vs. 299,000), this week qualified as the show's most-watched week in nearly a year - since week of 6/2/08.

* In Women 18-49, "General Hospital" delivered its largest audience in 13 weeks - since week of 2/9/09 -- increasing by a significant 13% over last week (915,000 vs. 807,000), the week beloved character Michael finally woke up form a coma, while "All My Children" hit a 6-week high in the key demo - since week of 3/30/09 -- also up by 13% week to week (835,000 vs. 738,000).

* In Women 18-49, all ABC shows ranked among Daytime's Top 5: "General Hospital" (No. 2 - 1.4 rating/915,000), "The View" (No. 3T - 1.3 rating/869,000), "One Life to Live" (No. 3T - 1.3 rating/858,000) and "All My Children" (No. 3T - 1.3 rating/835,000).

But, yes, it definitely says that "Lane" does not have the kind of appeal that draws extra viewers in.

Wow - congrats to AMC - they are really holding ground. Its been an exciting month so far.

Wow AMC had all the good pormos and did good all week and then Friday which was a big day gets their lowest rating of the week.

I am beginning to think they need to go to 4 days and forget Friday. All the shows do worse on Friday now.

But Lame have this huge fanbase. Everybody love thebaby talk that Lily does to Cane.

Congrats to AMC. I think it's actually well deserved, the show has been compelling as of late.

Soaps bomed hard on Friday, were their any preemption?

I'm glad AMC is holding steady, but I'm not surprised yet another murder didn't lead to a big increase. This week has been better than Friday, so I hope their ratings go up.

I'm glad OLTL is still close to GH in numbers, even as GH continues to be treated as the favored son. The horrible waking up episodes for Michael (which are, surprise surprise, all about how great Sonny is) haven't done anything for me.

Now that sweeps is over, I have to think that ABC is relieved that GH's 18-49 women demo increased, but still concerned because the show cannot to hold onto this demo. I hope this means that GH will stick with the relatonship/family drama stories.

Overall the week was an improvement for ABC from where they've been and everybody else was just around the new normal it seems like for these soaps. The demos right now for Y&R, DAYS & GH are amazing. I wish OLTL will go up some more too, it seems like this show is finding a hard time turning its quality into quantity right now. I would look for AMC to go up starting next week with the murder stuff.

GH should get interesting with Sonny's kids turning into bad teens. If Michael can bring the ratings up a little bit like this then this is a positive sign for the show's future. Kristina, Morgan & Michael should be interesting and I hope they let the other babies/kids grow up too. I haven't felt this good about GH in a long time.

Hopefully GL finds a new home soon for the fall b/c it looks like their audience really hasn't left them.
