March 21, 201213 yr Member Well I crawl TGW forums enough for the both of us. Trust. LOL! It seems like everybody has an issue with this season for one reason or another. I rather like seeing more of Diane's personal life. We've seen so much about Will this season, I'm eager to learn more about her. It's just kind of gratifying to know as good as the show is they recognize some of the pitfalls this season and are working to improve. I'd like to think while the show has never been a ratings hit, some of the sluggishness as it relates to ratings have been a reflection of some of the writing woes and the audience is not satisfied with less than excellence. It's plus but also a lofty challenge for the writing team to strive for each season. And on a side note I like seeing more of Diane but I'm not a fan of Gary Coles or Bryan Browns which probably impacts my enjoyment of that aspect of the show.
September 17, 201213 yr Member Finished Season 2. What can I say about this show? What a soapy, amazing, thrilling ride it is! I really love its mix of soap opera, law firm and politics. The twist that revealed Peter and Kalinda had slept together was one of the most amazing twists on any soap ever and it affected everyone so greatly. And that ending! Will and Alicia on the elevator, finally kissing, going through all those obstacles. Greatness. I plan to watch Season 3 as quickly as possible so that I can watch Season 4 as it airs.

Welcome to the club! It's a hell of a show isn't it? IMO, S3 is a little weaker than the first two but everything I've heard about S4 bodes well.

It absolutely is. I have heard the same thing about S3 but I'm hoping weaker still means better than most on Network TV lol Can't wait to find out!
October 15, 201213 yr Member Controversy over the Kalinda story. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/10/15/the-good-wife-has-season-4-s-kalinda-storyline-gone-too-far.html I didn't know Marc Warren was on the show. I loved him on Doctor Who. I hope he gets a lot more work over here.
October 16, 201213 yr Author Administrator Yeah, I don't really like Kalinda's storyline either. I'm not a fan of sex and violence towards each other. Reminds me too much of EJ/Sami. It's gross.
October 27, 201213 yr Member The Kings are, thankfully, wrapping up the Kalinda/Nick. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Good-Wife-Kings-Kalinda-Nick-1055105.aspx I rather like this quote... One of the things we've always done is try to avoid repeating ourselves and the difficulty is you didn't want Kalinda to be a character like Fonzie where it's an established joke and you keep doing variations of the joke. We did want to see another side of Kalinda because we know in Archie we have an actress that can handle almost anything you throw at her. But I do think the audience teaches the storyteller and this is a case of the audience teaching the storyteller the bounds of where they think Kalinda's universe is. How I wish soap writers were open to that concept.
October 29, 201213 yr Member Kind of weird they compare the character to "Fonzie" and "James Bond" and say fans didn't want to see her background. I'm not sure if that's what fans objected to. At least they realized the fans were not responding and have decided to move on, instead of acting like fans are idiots who don't "get it" and just need to accept the genius.
March 24, 201411 yr Member This is still one of the best shows on TV and this season has been terrific But the episode tonight WOW I am shocked they killed off Will, although I had read somewhere that Josh Charles had asked to be released from the show, this was still a shock. Just wow.
March 24, 201411 yr Author Administrator I agree that this season has been so good. I think it's been its best so far. What a shocking development and definitely a game changer. Josh's contract ended last season but the Kings and Julianna convinced him to come back for a shortened 5th season.
March 24, 201411 yr Member I have slowly been getting into this show. Really well done, scripted and acted. Last night's episode was extremely well done and shocking. Sooo glad CBS renewed it!
March 24, 201411 yr Member I have to go back to the beginning but have seen a few shows of the present season, and I liked what I saw. I am shocked! CBS executives wrote an open letter to fans "Life Does Go On". http://popwatch.ew.com/2014/03/24/the-good-wife-robert-michelle-king-letter/ I have quite a few shows in the Netflix Queue, so I'm not sure when I can get to this on Amazon. Perhaps by the time I do get to TGW, Neflix will have it and I won't have to pay.
March 24, 201411 yr Member Irna Phillips would be proud. My mother's a fan of the show, or a former fan, who still watches sometimes, but is behind. I'm trying to figure out if I should warn her or not.
March 24, 201411 yr Member It's interesting to see the different reactions to last night's episode. A lot of people seem to be working their way through the five stages of grief. It's dismaying to me to see all the people who were apparently under the impression that this show was all about which man Alicia would end up with
