Khan.

We did have a bit of excitement on Friday when Dr. Chapelle, inventor of the now infamous heart valve appeared to have hung himelf.

Scott was freaking out today and JR was the cooler head between them.

JR and David still have mad chemistry.

Erica vs. Nurse Gayle is on!

Jake Martin working on my flatlining toddler, I go all Beasty Zach myself. "Page Hayward", grrrrrrrrrr.

KWAK's Original Recipe Babe speechifying dragged things down a little.

What Annie did to Aidan? Yeee-ow. Hurts. Yikes.

I think so but don't recall all of that article.

While she was struggling to get away from Aidan (they were in a stairwell once again which seems to be *their* place). He was pulling on the door to keep her from escaping but was on the landing/stairwell. In the back and forth (Annie couldn't see, I believe), Aidan goes down the steps and dislocates his shoulder. Annie relocates it then ties up his arms. I want an Advil or 4 myself after that. :D

I didn't want to root for Annie in the Aidan/Annie scenes, but I don't like Aidan very much right now. He's like a lesser version of the know it all bossy men (Zach and Ryan). He believes he cured Annie with his spotted dick and she has to do as he says, leave with him without her daughter. Pfft.

Speaking of know it all bossy men, Zach. Sure I get getting a feeling but muhboyisdying was so heavy-handed and therefore annoying. That said, Jake is such a crappy doctor, bad bedside manner. Good one with Amanda, but bad at the actual hospital.

Not as good as 2004. I remember their was a scene with them on the Chandler Terrace area and David had him backed up against the doors and... Heh, this show had so much HoYay in those days.

It's not consistent. Last week JR was thinking with his heart no matter what anybody said and Scott was thinking with his ego. This week Scott's thinking with his heart and JR's thinking about the company's status. Keeps us guessing, I guess - Jekyll or Hyde.

The Angie/Ryan scene was random but very nice - we need more wonderful scenes like that.

Enjoyed today - it was a nice follow-up to Friday's show.

Zach was annoying as hell though - but I guess he was right.

Seems like they are slowly introducing Liza into the show - I'm surprised we haven't had 24/7 Lunar!

Where was Colby and Petey during this Chandler party?

Why would they allow JR and Scott to just talk and argue at the crime scene - or why would they want to stand there all episode anyway? And Jesse was annoying cop again today - I understand Jesse's frustration with the PV citizens when investigating crimes - but his take on that frustration is annoying. Btw, I totally wrote Derek and had to correct my typo! That's sad!

Finally - the Marissa/Krystal scenes were nice. I'm just really enjoying Marissa more and more each day.

yeah and people were so convinved that Pratt was going to plaster her all over our screens just bc he knew her from Melrose Place. Im almost wishing he had bc I love me some JL and wish she were featured more. Its ridiculous that Liza's been in town so long and she hasnt interacted with anyone she knows besides Jake. Shoot is she even still in town? Its been a while since we've seen her

Even the people she did know, like Babe and Kendall, she now doesn't seem to remember she knew.

I think part of the reason they may be going slow with her is because they don't seem to have any idea what to do with her character. They basically said they were just going to try her with various men and see what happened.

    • Well, Josh was a horndog. LOL Yep. It was one of the first really weird things Reva did with her PPD. She became obsessed with the idea that Dylan and Sam should get married. Sam was only 17, and needed her parent's permission. Reva helped them leave town so they could go to a neighboring state where Sam was old enough. Ross, Billy and Josh stopped them, then Sam went to India to try and persaude Justin. Reva followed her and didn't tell Josh she was going. While Reva was gone, Josh advertised for nannies, and Harley applied. He ended up hiring someone else. But when Reva returned, she hired Harley because (in her weird mental state) she wanted someone she could trust with the kids (because she feared Josh was trying to get rid of her and that Vanessa wanted the children.). After Reva starts treatment, she asks Harley to stay until she's stronger because she's good with the kids. At the party, Reva starts going off the rails, insulting Justin and Josh hauls her to a private dining room to ask WTF. Reva starts confronting him about the "affair" with Vanessa, and he realizes she is weird. He locks her in the dining room and frees Mindy and Van from the ladies room (where Reva has locked them in). Van starts telling him that Reva attacked her and needs help.  Reva escapes out the window of the dining room and goes back to the party, climbs onto a table and starts a striptease. Josh gets her to stop, takes her home and after filling Ed in, decides to go to the doctor the next day. Reva then takes off and spends days running around town, coming on to a guy she thinks is Billy, Billy, Hamp, Frank and Roger.  Roger takes her to his apartment and takes nude pictures of her, which he tries to blackmail Billy with. He wants the deed to the land the Towers is on in exchange for them. (Billy had been left the deed by a sweet old lady who lost her home in the 5th street fire. Roger had stolen the deed from her before she died. After Roger took those pics of Reva, she saw him hide them, and took an envelope from the hiding place. She didn't realize she'd taken the deed and not the pictures.)  Anyway, Billy and Vanessa trick Roger into burning the pictures, claim the deed and at the Towers opening reveal that Billy owns the land and therefore the Towers. That's what led to Roger and Alex's breakup and Roger and Mindy's affair.
    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
