Is there something wrong with casting Australians? Look, I understand that some people have issues with the two Australians on the cast, but surely it's not beause they're Australian?

No, it's not because they are Australian, it's because Sursok is badly miscast and Goddard should never have been made PIII and here's why:

Because it makes no sense for Jill's son to be the same age that Goddard is, and it's going to look even more out of place when Phillip IV arrives.

If LML wanted to give Jill a long lost son, fine, but it shouldn't have been Phillip III. You don't retcon a character that has been dead for nearly 20 years. You also don't make her long lost son's nationality something from another continent, the fact that she has a long lost son is unrealistic enough, but to make him an Aussie on top of it?

This whole retcon totally screwed up the show's history and it's timeline.

Jill never needed a new son to be a viable character in the first place.

The only thing that I like about the character of Cane is the chemistry Goddard has with Jess.

There is something wrong, however, with casting actors who have the emotional depth of a soggy paper towel.

EXACTLY! Goddard is a little better than Sursok but that's not saying much!

I don't think it was a mistake killing off Phillip because the character of Nina flourished in a way that would've never happened if Phillip remained alive. Plus with Thom Biertz being gay and having those personal family issues, he wouldn't have remained on the show so it would've meant another recast or Phillip being off screen. I think killing Phillip was brave and the aftershocks were felt for an extremely long time. Nina was constantly brought back into Jill and Katherines orbit and Phillip's legacy remained important to the show. In fact, I'd say it's one of *the* best handled deaths, even if it meant losing Phillip III.

I agree, Bill Bell did a great job of telling stories and the death and it's after math of P III were no exception.

Another week devoted to trashing Tammin Sursok - an actress that is rarely seen. This actress gets more discussion here than she does screen time on Y&R.

I think Stacy Haduik (sp?) is going to put Stafford to shame when she goes postal.

She might just. :)

It's Haiduk.

I think Y&R needs to make a decision. Either recast or use TS. I don't have a strong preference. I liked AL much better, but I could live with TS. Having Colleen go up against TBVN could have been a solid story, especially because it might bring in JT/Vikki and shake them up as JT tries to protect his former love.

I am eagerly anticipating this!

Tomorrow US she is in

a scene petting a white cat. You can see the "crazy" beginning to bubble over.

Yep, that's part of it. I think they should have saved the trashing of Sharon's apartment for Mary Jane instead. I wasn't a immediate fan of SH, but she's won me over. That voice, those eyes, that figure. Perfection. See, I could tolerate Gloria if she was more like this (minus bat sh!t crazy).

I like SH, and I didn't like her at first either, but I'm a little baffled by the intense love here. I mean, thus far, she's done quite well at playing the slightly psycho MJ, but we haven't actually seen her do much else. I feel like I'm missing something, or that I've missed scenes that have shown her range or real ability as an actress.

Fittingly, the proposal for Paul/Nikki takes place at Crimson Lights-that's where most of their'romance' played out.

After injecting himself,Adam muttered something about'this should do the trick for the next 6 months'

So,he waited for the moment the doctor arrived to inject himself? If it lasts that long, why didn't he do it earlier?Wouldn't an eye specialist have noticed the eye had been recently injected?

I'm so thrilled Kevin and Amber are free!! Yeeeeh!! what's the point of these stories if they are all wrapped up in a big bow 2 weeks later?

Personally, I've been noticing the subtle nuances she adds to the character. She may be mentally unstable, but their is a likability to the actress, she injects dimension into a role that could end up being dead weight. I also love how she uses her facial expressions to convey MJ's emotions. She's not very in your face, but if you watch closely her body language and acting is spot on. I'm a fan!

Well, too bad her ass will be out the door in 6 months time. ;)

Yeah, but I don't think she was ever meant to be a long-term character. A 10-12 month run is a good run and I'm glad that she's giving it all she has.
