AMC: Possible casting news

Nelson Branco in his suds report is saying that it's a done deal that Chrishell stause is leaving.

He's also reporting that David Canary has an undisclosed illness and that if it gets worse they'll write out Adam, but that it is Stuart who dies because Adam is impersonating Stuart, leading to the case of mistaken identity from the audition script

The writing for Chrishelle has been horrible but she's been front and center and they've managed to almost stumble onto a good pairing with Jake (if I could forget how he treated her last year). AMC must really be horrible backstage now if she's trying to get away even with all the potential story ahead of her if she stays.

Its the bone head move of the year by TIIC at ABC/AMC.... we shouldn't really be surprised anymore, unfortunately. *sigh*

They are speeding up the ultimate demise of this genre, really makes you think they do it with intent.

After all the stuff the last few head writers have pulled on this show, as much as I hate to say it, Pratt offing Stuart isn't any worse then Megan's unabortion, murdered frozen Trevor, Dixie eating the pancakes, etc. And of course B&E and all their wonderfully inspired garbage. I think Frons is hiring writers that he knows have no scruples and who don't give a [!@#$%^&*] about AMC so that he can get it canceled.

Mark my words, ladies and gentlemen: one of these days, you will see "ERICA MURDERED ON AMC!" splashed across the cover of every soap magazine (and it won't be just a lot of hype either).

And I wouldn't be to upset by that. I mean it sucks so much that Pratt is writing her so amazingly, but I'm so done with her being put through the wringer and treated like something they stepped on. It's only a matter of time before Pratt decides to [!@#$%^&*] on her too. I guess as much as it would hurt for her to be killed or to die, at the end of the day, I'd be okay with them finally putting her out of what would have been more misery.

    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
