Members dm.
Yes, starting with those beautiful scenes when Kay and Nikki reunite, later when Victor realizes in a matter of a few seconds that Kay is alive, and now with them helping out Kay. It's so wonderful. It always hurts when you don't have your friends at your side, but once you do it's all much better. I love how Kay's storyline ties in with the Abbotts being out of Jabot, with Kevin's storyline and a bit with Billy's. It's all nicely connected. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Also, the use of background music has really been good lately. I've noticed that it's really mixed into the scenes nicely, it doesn't overwhelm them, it compliments them.
Members Cat
Did Jeanne Cooper actually use the word "bullshit" in yesterday's (US) episode? I had to rewind, and there it was. Kay said to Nikki: "I thought you believed that I was Katherine Chancellahhhh. Believe me, Katherine knowsh you shoooo well that she would never, ever shwallow that bullshit." Yesterday was all about DENIAL, and I don't mean a river in Africa. Cane. Kay (about Nikki & Victor's everlasting love. All I see is derision). Jack (about Sharon). Chloe. All in major denial. Members DeeeDee
If Jeanne doesn't win another Emmy there is no justice.
Members dm.
The fact that Melody didn't get even nominated for last year was shocking, and now it wouldn't surprise me if Jeanne doesn't get it. The transcript says "Mm. I thought you believed I was katherine chancellor. Believe me, katherine knows you so well that she would never, ever swallow that foolishness." Members dm.
Mike Cohen's work, I believe. At least the storylines don't suck. Thankfully I have no problem with the dialogue.
Members Ann_SS
I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this episode. After GH's horrific "if Maxie had died" episode, I was prepared for the worse, but this was well done in comparison. It had a nice balance between the stories and Marge's narration. I just about fell out when Marge talked about Nick, Phyllis, Jack and Sharon being driven by their passions more than anyone she ever met in a trailer park. These are the most dysfunction characters on the soaps and I love it. I loved Murphy's proposal and the dancing at the end. It was one of the most romantic and sweet scenes that I have seen on the soaps in a while.
Members BadZoe
I have a solution to everything. Cane is a master fraud and arranged years ago for Jill and Kay to be revealed as mother and daughter. Then he and his henchmen captured Katherine long enough to hypnotize her into thinking she gave away Jill's real son Phillip. When he came to town, he planted some pieces for Amber to make the connection and there you have it, Cane is the Chancellor heir. His accomplice who works in the lab fixed the results for Kay and Jill and again for Cane and Jill. When it is all revealed, Cane goes to Jail, never to be heard from again. Then the show can bring on the real Chancellor heir, Little Phillip, now a grown man, back from the middle east with serious trauma and wounds that need to be healed with the help of a supportive young vixen. Members MarkH
Remember, Cane's first DNA with Jill mismatched. So, there is still some "noise" here. I VERY much like your Cane-fraud idea. That ushers him off our screen, eventually
Members Ann_SS
It occurred to me that Sharon's letter may foreshadow a suicide attempt. She needs more than Jack to anchor her, she needs a good therapist.
Members DaytimeFan
I loved that so much. 80 year olds...romance...dancing...laughter...happiness. Take THAT Frons. LOVE IT. MAB!!! Use this story!!!
Members BadZoe
I thought the exact same thing. Although, I think Sharon's going to get kidnapped and they will all think she's either run away or committed suicide. They certainly love the kidnapping and adultery story lines these days. What I would like to see instead is a suicide attempt that winds up leaving Sharon with permanent brain damage, not that she has much brain to damage. Would Nick volunteer to feed her and change her diapers?
Members baller
Ohhh, I like that plan! I actually like that whole playout for Cane--works for me. And I think I want a Murphy of my own. That was just one of the best proposals on soaps in a damn long time. And I'm impressed Y&R has managed to work in a diner without making it a big joke in the long run, and creating characters that fit into the Y&R canvas.
