SoapNet Has A Heart About Programs About Kendall Hart

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Funny that "SOME" think she is a more popular character while the general concensus that I read thinks she is worse character though. Minshew might have made her more popular but she along with the writing and overexposure ruined her character and have made just as many that love her hate her and just want her to go away.

Personally for AMC I wish Kendall and Zendall were as popular as their fan base thinks they are. But that works for any show. If EJami and Nuke and Phick and Shick and Brick and Bridge and all were AS POPULAR AS THEIR FAN BASES make them out to be daytime soap operas would have no problem with ratings at all. Because if they were that popular AMC would be the #1 show in all of television.

OMG, which show ARE you watching then? The woman is in coma and she has more appereances than La Kane.

As much as I love AM, I can't stand that hypocritial shrew called Kendall Hart Slater.

SMG got an Emmy for Kendall. AM did not. I think this proves which Kendall was more popular.

Different strokes for different folks, people. Some have their favourite Kendalls, others their favourite Carlys etc. I personally feel like SMG and AM are playing two completely different characters. SMG's Kendall was obviously a wounded bad girl lashing out at everybody. While AM's Kendall is essentially a Scarlett O'Hara clone. I put that down to the writing, starting with McTavish who wrote the Ken-Doll she wanted to write.

But whoever said Kendall hasn't been on since October -- woah. I tuned in in October right through to her coma trauma and girl was on every day. Usually picking on Annie.

Minshew isn't even an adequate replacement for constipation. She is the outright worst of the worst. I think it is not a coincidence at that that the moment the show stopped being about Erica and starring Susan Lucci and started being a showcase for this person with no screen presence, talent or charisma, that AMC ratings basically went into the cellar.

They could have at least included one SMG episode. :(

Well, if it was up to me, I would have every episode be SMG.....

-After Bianca's horse riding accident, Kendall reveals to Erica that she is her daughter

-Kendall locks Bianca in the Wild Wind crypt

-Kendall seduces Anton and tells Erica that Dimitri raped her

-Kendall fakes suicide to test Anton

:)

That's why SMG got a hit television, hit movies and gets upwards of 6 million a movie. Yeah that's right. She can't act worth nothing.

Doubtful. The show was much more popular back in the mid ninties then it ever was now, so I find it hard to argue that Kendell is more popular now when the show can barely scratch over 2 million household viewers.

Kendell has been the number one most featured character on AMC for 6 out of the 9 years since the turn of the century.

Kendell was always more intriguing and electrifying as the outsider scratching her way into the inside.

There is a reason why she has never scored an emmy nomination.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get. While I agree with those on here that he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.

    • Ah! Good to hear. Isn't it especially odd to think that house fictionally exists not far from the Karrs?  Or, that it was designed non-fictionally by the same person who designed April's place?
    • Good to know I'm not the only one who noticed that. Strange and awkward, and I don't know what they're doing with those fades.   -- Finally, had to laugh at how many Emmys this board passed out today.
