Woah, that was a great read! Thanks for bringing that to us. Man, I would love to spend a week at soap to see first hand how the production works. I think it would be so fun and cool.

I've been lucky enough to have spent the day on various sets watching the shows being taped. 2X ATWT, 2X GL and 2X OLTL 1 time I was able to be on the OLTL set as Erika Slezak was taping scenes between Viki & Niki. How she was able to distinguish between the 2 charaters was amazing. It was fascinating to witness!

Other than endangering Y&R/CBS's relationship with the WGA, why would she hate Griffith?

Bloom is BFFs with LML.

Y&R was bland as hell on a production level, but at least he attempted to steer Maria into a less sensational, trashy direction. ETA: Even if it was illegal for him to do so.

He should've never been EP in the first place. He's a writer, not a producer.

ETA2: OLTL Writer out is Melissa Salmons?

Nope. But it is a female writer.

Wow, that's pretty cool. You were so lucky.

And an update on old news: David Levinson was chosen as the new script editor and Josh Griffith is coming back as a SW instead of script editor - just a weird situation with Goutman/Bloom over this (Goutman likes Griffith, Bloom hates Griffith).

Hmmm...interesting to see how David will do as new script editor. ATWT is running out of time. November will be the key month. But I have a feeling CBS alreadys knows what they are going to do. ATWT may be trailing the other soaps but they arent where GL was in the ratings and the production values are still good. Josh Griffith is a good script writer. I am glad he is back as a SW and not a script editor. I liked his scripts during his time on ATWT.

Still?!

Oh Hollywood!

I don't disagree with you there.

Alright, the OLTL Writer OUT is Carolyn Culliton. :o Katherine Schock takes over as the new Script Editor.

Soap Scream: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Is she going anywhere?

Had a Very strong feeling it was CC that was leaving OLTL. It won't matter i do think she'll get picked up by another soap if she hasn't already.

Well, maybe Carolyn will finally be able to do what she does best, scrips or breakdowns again, at some other soap. I don't foresee her being a Co-HW again.

But maybe no one can afford anyone of her caliber and maybe she was let go because of financial reasons.

That's the rumour. ;) I should have the info for December teasers, if it becomes official.

I'm crossing my fingers the rumor, no matter what show it is, comes true.

I can see Carolyn going to Days to join Richard and Gary Tomlin, or to ATWT to help it get renewed.

And of course we have to worry about Kriezman in the long term. If November is successful and ATWT is saved, will the REAL Kriezman come out? All new HWs try and give you what you want in the early days (unless you're Pratt who simply doesn't care), but you have to wait a while to see their true vision for the show.

The "real" Kreizman is the guy who won an Emmy at GL and brought the show back into the ratings pack by the end of 2006 when it was out of the pack under Ellen Weston when he became head writer in 2004. Into 2007, fan reception to Kreizman was still mixed, but on the favorable side for quite a few -- certainly not universally negative. Kreizman is not a "show killer," despite what Nelson likes to say, although of course like any writer he can make mistakes.

So there's a good two-plus years of "good" Kreizman left going by that evidence. That's the "real" David Kreizman.

As for your spoilers, to me it's too much speculation about what would have been a story and so-and-so slotting into it and replacing this one or that one. I'm gonna just wait and see what the story is that's presented. I agree with you about Dusty/Bonnie, but think maybe Kreizman has another story in mind for Bonnie.
