This show has spent no time allowing viewers to actually MOURN Emily. When you're subjected to months of her ghost stalking Nikolas seeing her look-a-like in the flesh really isn't that interesting.

Besides that I'm gobsmacked that a GH promo is highlighting romance over murder.

Are there 2009 promos for AMC and OLTL also?

I LOVE the end when Nikolas sees 'Emily'.. I'm also looking forward to the Patrick/Robin wedding and Maxie/Spinelli dance.

I hope they don't drop Nikolas and Nadine for Natalia Livingston's new character. Put her with Matt, he could use a story.

Prepare for more excessive hand movements, and huffing and puffing - Livingston's "acting" trademarks.

Is it wrong that this promo made me tear up? GH really needed to build their core couples back up and I can't say that I am against any of the couples in the promo. I actually think Nicholas/NuEmily is a really good idea. To be completly honest Nic wouldn't have been popular with any other character and Nem already have a strong following, aside from Natalia's skeptical acting choices this was the best thing they could do. GH needs as much heart as it can get and Emily (what ever incarnation she is in) is very much needed to maintain whatever heart this show once had. Killing off both Georgie and Emily was a huge mistake that needs to be rectified. I also think they need to build Elizabeth back up and pairing her back with Lucky is a great way to do that because she lost her "heroine card" a while back.

Natalia's Emily was never the heart of GH for me, she was vapid and selfish and irritating. Georgie I agree on though, killing her was a huge mistake (so was killing the CHARACTER of Emily).

There isn't too much of a distinction to me. Regardless of portrayal I still feel that the character is important and I was never so completly turned off by Natalia's portrayal that I wasn't able to feel sorry for her or root for her. She always played the heroine or ingenue bit up to where I could completly believe that she was Emily. So while she wasn't the strongest actress I was still able to associate her as Emily and invest in her. Killing Emily off definetly hurt GH. Natalia may not have been a strong actress but Emily didn't deserve to be killed off. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am just happy that we get to see "Emily" alive. Even if it's within a "new character".

I think this promo is quite good, although I suspect we are getting more bait and switch. GH promos are starting to remind me of SID covers.

I just can't wait for NL to start the famous pointing again.

After seeing that promo, all i can say is thank goodness for Patrick, Robin and Emma. The Scorpio/Drakes are the only reason that I watch GH any more. The rest of those couples are just stomach turning rethreads.

Ugh Liz and Unlucky are so flipping boring, let him and Spam have each other.
