I agree. Although I'm a little concerned because some of the current setups seem like exit storylines for newer and promising characters.

I love this cool new "black background Y&R logo" that CBS used in their promos last week.

Oh I'm with you, I LOVE "Jill's Whore Hair"...Jess Walton could easily rock that today, I feel it would make her look even younger, can you believe she's hitting the big 6-0 this February?! She easily passes for 50 and could even pass for a 'used up' 45.

The way she's cut her hair for Monday's episode is the shortest it's ever been and it looks MUCH better than the mid-length flipped out style she'd been sporting for the last few years. If Jess insists on keeping her hair shorter (WHY JESS WHY?!) then this is the style to keep it at, the flipped out look is matronly.

Actually, since MAB came aboard the show Jess has been looking particularly better than everyone else. It seems like MAB made a few calls to her pals on Rodeo Drive and got Jill Abbott's wardrobe an update. Really, the cast as a whole is looking more stylish.

I noticed Jill's hair, and love the sophisticated smoothed out hairstyle much better than the choppy mess. I think the wardrobe all around has improved significantly, with the majority looking like the upper class business people they are portraying. Except for Sharon who still looks like she shops at the trailer trash second hand store, but that has always been that characters style.

I found Monday's episode a tad boring. I am so sick to death at the show acting like Neil and Tyra are some kind of soul mates. Especially since they keep emphasizing that she is only 27, and he has to be pushing 50. It isn't Karen that makes the pairing with Neil boring, it is that Neil is such a boring, set in his ways, fuddy duddy of a character. The only reason him and Dru worked well was because they were complete opposites, and Tyra is no Dru. Why can't they pair her with Adam, or Cane, or Billy, or Kevin if they don't want to develop the cute detective into a viable character. Anything but this Daddy and Daughter dynamic they are hoping the audience will bite into and clamour for if they keep shoving it down our throats.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
