Oh thanks I am on Trump overload and haven't paid much attention to what's happened today. Had no idea that there was an agreement already in place but seems like a moot point as the State Dept confirmed it.

I didn't know either. I guess now they won't be coming...

It's classic Trump: Renege on any deal/don't pay anyone, or give them half and walk away.

Trump will not leave without demanding a payout from the country.

If it reaches that point and he makes that demand, then I'd say "no dice" and I would wait out the rest of his term.  His high-water booty doesn't deserve "go away money" for all the havoc he has wreaked both here and abroad.

You do realize that if this continues at this pace we will not have a country left.

But, as I've been saying all along, at least we (or at least the ones who keep resisting) will go down kicking and screaming, not shrugging and saying, "Well, what are you gonna do?".

And I still think we need to be ready for when he wins that second term, because people think he should be given the opportunity to finish what he started (just as they had said once upon a time about Dubya).

If he was shrewd, that might happen, but he's anything but. The thing that works against him is his negative personality, which is on display every day and there is no sign he'll change. There were enough voters willing to ignore that last year based on him being an outsider, but in 2020 he will be no outsider.

I don't think W would have gotten a second term without 9/11. And I don't think the public will have the same reaction to Trump if that happens (which I hope it doesn't).

I didn't think he'd be removed from office but these last two weeks have been so insane I'm starting to have my doubts. I think that may be why Bannon is trying to amass control as quickly as he can. Most of Congress is full of appeasers, but McConnell isn't that type (as much as the man disgusts me) when it gets to where we are heading - to the point where [!@#$%^&*] Australia is seen as an enemy of the state.

The term security moms was used during that campaign and those were the voters who sent Bush back to office. The terror warning scale was adjusted almost every week and suddenly was no longer mentioned after Bush was re-elected.

Just curious, reply - if you're a member of Pantsuit Nation on Facebook?  I am...long before the election.  I'm D.C.  If you're a member/were invited, just say yes, no, not alot of details.

Doug Davidson certainly has an interesting thread on twitter right now.  It amazes me how many people mistake the right to free speech for the right to be heard and given a platform.

A friend of mine is still so sweet...she's honestly worried about animals, environment...the world as a whole.  She posts articles and donation requests and causes/articles/whatever about the endangered Elephants, Gorillas, fish....whatever.  God Bless her.  I messaged her today and said....honey, I can't care about any of your endangered species or environment right now.  We're all going to be dead - because of a man whose favorite color in the crayon box is burnt Orange mixed with Salmon.  Who has more money than God but has bad hair and can't find money to fix his gnarly teeth.  Seriously - all of the animal and environment-saving is important but there are bigger fish to fry right now...give up the Vegan thing/save the Earth thing, and help save us all first....you can't save the environment or the animals if you're not here.

I think this is the first time I've seen "Doug Davidson" and "interesting" in the same sentence.

I am not that active on twitter...but went and read the thread and honestly I couldn't understand what was going on.  At all.  I don't want to say what I'm thinking but he sounded...............and I re-read twice.

That was my attempt to be polite.  I do believe even the most repugnant among us have the right to free speech, but he's spending quite a bit of effort to defend hate speech right now. Unless you are in a court of law or a classroom that gets the side eye from me.

Often it's more willful ignorance than a mistake. Having viewed that Twitter page it seems like he's trying to play clueless when he really is well aware of what he was saying.
