It'll be taken seriously. His campaign is already in freefall, this is going to smother any of their lame attempts to 'reboot' him (which would never have lasted anyway) in the crib.

This is appalling! His staff can come up with any lame excuse they want, he knew exactly what he was saying. He chose his words with care so they could be interpreted in different ways, and he was very well aware of that.

There are a lot of sickos out there, and I just wonder what kind of pathetic excuse Trump and his staff would come up with if someone actually shot Hillary.

Words can kill.

That's all.

And that's exactly who we need as our next president: someone who "don't talk good," whose words leave others open to threats on their lives.

Trump sycophant-in-chief Mark Halperin went from shaming him on Twitter to immediately jumping onto MSNBC and trying to equate this with Biden and Hillary's gun-related gaffes in 2008. It was pretty pathetic and was shouted down by his cohosts and guests, but still, Halperin is desperately in love with Il Donald.

Establishment Republicans will continue to back him, because all that matters to them is the court. They want to preserve the conservative majority at any cost and gambling with Trump is their only chance to do that. Clinton will undoubtedly appoint younger and liberal justices to any vacancies come up, which will completely shake up the court. That terrifies Republicans.

Trump on Twitter...

When is the media going to talk about Hillary's policies that have gotten people killed, like Libya, open borders, and maybe her emails?

Hasn't the media already discussed all of this again and again?

Her press secretary.... "Hillary Clinton disagrees with his views and disavows his support."

I'm assuming she didn't say anything herself because every single word would be analyzed, and then the NY TIMES would have gotten their language experts to weigh in on her hand gestures again.

And she probably didn't do it earlier as she is dealing with lawsuit and death threats.

I'll call her out on the private server, but not this. I'm also fine with the private email account because Powell did the same and didn't save any emails.

I'm assuming he didn't use government server because they didn't have a record of his emails, and could he even use that server with a private account? I know he didn't use a private server, so I guess that leaves whatever server the rest of us use to send emails...

I don't know how these events work. Do you just show up? Do you RSVP? Are both acceptable? I know I personally wouldn't have recognized the name or his face.

Events are open to anyone who gets in line in time to get a spot before the arena gets full. Had he been thrown out or prevented from entering the media would have made an issue about that.

They've indicated they've spoken to the campaign 'more than once' about it.

NBC's Katy Tur, who's been valiantly following the Trump campaign for months, writes about her experience.
