And while everyone is fixated on the Mueller Report, William Barr's DOJ has filed to not argue for the ACA at all. Meaning, Trump and these garbage people are backing a Texas judge's ruling this past December that the ENTIRE ACA is illegal and should be nullified.

What a way for Donnie Dump to celebrate his Mueller victory - by killing millions of people.

I don't know if anyone read the article that I posted last year about some business/financial issues that Michael Avenatti had concerning a coffeehouse franchise that he had bought and a former business associate that had taken legal action against Avenatti but for me, that case was a big red flag.

For that reason alone, I did not want him to even consider a run for public office, although I accepted his status as an antagonist to Trump, although all that time antagonizing Trump seems to have been ill spent and, in the end, has provided an opportunity for Trump and his spawn to mock Avenatti.

The most disturbing part is how normalized this has become. I just can't react most of the time. He's obsessed with killing the ACA. I never thought he'd give up and he never will. Beyond stripmining the planet and grifting for cash, his only real goal is to destroy anything Obama accomplished.

The more time passes the more judges he will have and the more likely he'll get what he wants.

I'd say the Republicans in Congress wouldn't want this ruling because it would put a huge onus on them, but they likely know the media will spin it as a win for them and use it to hurt Democrats.

Yes. I was just telling someone the other day that after to years of waking up everyday shocked that this is happened and not quite understanding how it did, I'm getting used to it.  And I even understand that I don't have a right to get used to it because its other people who are in danger, but the constant lying is wearing me down.

Yes. and it feels like it happened so quickly.  Sure, they were on the wrong side of decency for some time.  RR not fighting AIDS because it was killing gays, Bush with his surveillance, but to subvert democracy the way they are now is still something I wouldn't have expected.

That's when methods such as fundraising and underwriting must kick in.  You can't rely on the government anymore to subsidize worthwhile causes such as the Special Olympics.  That much is clear.

If we're relying on charity minded rich people to help, we're really up sh it creek.

There should be a baseline of humanity, yes, even in the government that money is set aside for people with special needs, whether it be physical or developmental.  If we accept that Reagonimic premise that government can't solve anything, we might as well get to crowdfunding public schools, trash collection and the fire department right now.  But I'm sure there is readily available money set aside in the Trump administration for arming teachers with M-16s in the classroom.

Amen. That is classic Republican thinking and not a good long term solution. I understand that you didn't mean it to be Khan.  I agree that in the short term raising money for things we believe in may be our only hope. Not just from rich people, but from the middle class. As a long term solution charity is not the answer and it never has been.  Private charity can supplement, but it cannot take the place of public policy when it comes to supporting important causes.

    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
