He not from Parkland, that's a parent of Sandy Hook shooting victim. That's very sad. I remember one of Sandy Hook victim parents saying the reason why she didn't kill herself  after the death of her child, was because of her religion and her other child.

Yes, but I don't think it's a coincidence that these 3 people committed suicide within days of each other. Suicide spreads, which is why the rates spike when famous people kill themselves and why so many mental health experts were concerned about the show 13 Reasons Why.

Would this man have killed himself if Parkland hadn't happened and two survivors hadn't killed themselves in recent days? We'll never know, but I'd wager it wouldn't have happened yesterday.

Lordy. He goes down and Trump is still standing.

Can this be true? I can hardly believe it.  Blocking child rape victims from getting an abortion. If it is true the injustice is truly appalling.   We are descending further into insanity by the day.

Even though I agree with some of the criticisms of AOC, I think she's hit the nail on the head. I'll add to it that we shouldn't be so sure that we can get rid of Trump.  As far as I can see we are in real danger in the next election.  The Russians will almost certainly interfere again and attempts at voter suppression will be off the charts. I also don't put it past the Republicans to try to delay the election by saying that it's compromised by interference. They have shown there is no line they won't cross.

For anyone with a dark sense of humor the front page of CNN is pretty funny right now. On top a story about how the Trump administration wants the entire ACA struck down.  Under it is a story about how The Pentagon has informed Congress that the $1B for the wall has been authorized. What a $hitshow.

I'm so glad that the Avenatti boomlet of last year did not last long. The man was skeevy and attention-seeking from the start and it made my skin crawl to see some Democrats pushing him and claiming he'd be good because he could take it to Trump or he would be "our" Trump. The irony is that Stormy Daniels was often portrayed as being in his shadow or beneath him, yet she has proven to be savvier and much more of a survivor.

The Newtown parents have gone through so many tragedies, not just losing their children but also being harassed every day, probably for the rest of their lives. I can see how the New Zealand tragedy, and how quickly their PM responded, must have been a terrible trigger.

There's just such an ugly climate in this country and Trump and his followers feed off the ugliness. They make it even worse. I'm not surprised about the Mueller report. I never thought he would find a smoking gun (and if he did it will likely appear in a different form). I'm also not surprised the media has taken the opportunity to paint this as a big win for Trump and act like he's on the comeback trail. And I'm also not surprised at Trump's response or the response of his goons. I just wish that for a second there was even a possibility of dignity. When you think about all the fake scandals they tried to pin on Obama, and how he never went down to the level of those racist, toxic people...and look where we are now.

    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
    • On the subject of sets (seems more interesting to discuss than the actual show)  Some sets we don't see anymore Lauren/Michael apartment (haven't seen that in years) Victoria's house (are Marian/Tessa living there?) Apartment above Crimson Lights (I think Chelsea was the last resident) Penthouse (Lily's home) Chancellor Estate (Devon/Abby) Chancellor office (once Dark Horse) Nick's house GCAC room (used as residence/hotel room for several characters) Some of these may pop up again. The tack house, for example, was not seen for many months before being used again. Have I missed anything?
    • Thanks for searching through everything. Worked on them so long, just too lazy to check for those links myself, so I am glad you chose to do it! I guess I never did type out anything for 1973-1977 in regards to the preemptions, but they are on the charts at least (and this far back, they don't seem to do any of those "breakouts" anymore, so things are simpler in the 1970's, so eventually I could type those out).
    • I dump on the Y&R sets problem all the time, but BOLD is no better -- and they're not even introducing new sets. All of their sets are years old, and very few look like they're inhabited by people with money. Is that going to change with this move? I'd rather they save the money spent on another remote, which is no better than an HGTV travelogue, and get some new/better sets.
    • The donut posts here make up for a Friday show that was barely meh. Aside from seeing Anna, I really didn't care much about anything else. While I understand the thought behind breaking up all the sadness with "other scenes," I'd rather they moved right to John's funeral. Instead of hearing a stupid story about John changing some minor character's tire 20 years ago, just move on to the crying. I also thought the Chad and Cat scenes were a waste. I realize not everyone is devastated by John's death to the point of not functioning, but going sky diving is a choice. By the way, Jack and Jennifer are giving me nothing on this return. Please leave asap. DAYS did such a great job with John's death, so ending the week this way was a letdown.
    • Add Dr. Montgomery to list of fine women on this show! I hope the show goes forward with Madison/Chelsea and then once they're developed, bring back Allison, who is now divorced or a widow, for a Madison/Chelsea/Allison triangle.  It would definitely be the hottest triangle in daytime.
