It is.  It truly is.

Look, I'm sure Mark Zuckerberg "means well."  However, at the end of the day, he just needs to 'fess up that FB's advertising policies have absolutely nothing to do with protecting free speech and absolutely everything to do with the financial bottom line.  Politicians and others are allowed to run whatever content they choose on FB, with absolutely no regard for the facts, because, to men like Zuckerberg, they're still paying customers, as are those who click on them and share them on their FB walls.

Les Moonves and Jeff Zucker could admit that, as bad as Trump was (and still is) for the nation, he was (and still is) good for their ratings.  So, why can't Zuckerberg?

Too many people, it seems, remain unwilling to admit that this is NOT "politics as usual;" that, in fact, the Trump administration represents an existential threat not just to our government but also to our entire way of life.  To put it another way, we haven't learn a damn thing from 2016; and unless we don't wise up NOW and FAST, come this time next year, we're gonna be as bad off as we are right now, and worse.

It seems like the courts -- that is, the courts that aren't willing to tow the Trump administration's line -- have been the only REAL safeguard we've had against these abominable people.

If Matt Gaetz doesn't know that Captain Kangaroo has nothing to do with a "kangaroo court" and vice-versa, I could hardly expect him or his idiotic cohorts to know who signed and enacted the rules regarding SCIF hearings and when.

In addition to AOC, Rep. Beatty also had a moment.  (So did Maxine Waters, who was the first to ask FB's Zuckerman directly about whether FB intended to check/correct misinformation).  Sadly only one of these instances got national coverage.  By the way, Justice Democrats (of which AOC is a member) wants Rep. Beatty to be 'primary-ed'.

Rep. Beatty hit the nail on the head: Zuckerberg DOES think this is a joke.  He thought he could skate through this like he skated through the last time he testified before Congress, when he was dealing mostly with old, white, self-entitled farts who don't know what a computer is, much less FB.  That, ladies and gentlemen, is the difference between a GOP-led branch of Congress and a Democrat-led one.

(I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Black women do not play.)

Did we even know this guy was running?

As much as I like Buttigieg, I have begun to question some of his stances.  And we DEFINITELY need to be ready for Tulsi.

That was so petty of him not to shake McConnell's hand.  I love it.

    • Yep. Access to the Vault works fine but upon downloading attempts an error message pops up.   Maybe it is just a temporary glitch.

    • Downloading isn't working at all.
    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Many thanks to @skylark and @DRW50!
    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
    • I genuinely thought when they said she had been throwing up, we were going to get a pregnancy story. I’m actually not convinced we aren’t. Especially the way she and Doug danced around her own infidelity.
    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.
