Any state that complies would essentially be admitting that their election was possibly compromised. No Sec. of State is going to want to say that they fucked up.

On another topic, the #GoAwayBernie movement seems to be slowly picking up steam.

I'm with the #GoAwayBernie crowd.  Bernie's proven to be too divisive even among registered Democrats to run again (and I say that as someone who, for the most part, supported him in the last go-round).  Another campaign from him would just stir up the same old b.s. from the far-left and make it easy for Trump or another nimrod from the right or far-right to win and/or remain in the WH.

Trump is such a petty, vindictive, feral pig. Like.... 8 months later and I still can't believe people hated Obama and/or Hillary that much that they'd vote for this trash. He is an embarrassment.

And I can't say this enough but f*ck Bernie Sanders. He can run around making excuses for the racists that voted for Trump and blaming blacks, women, and other minorities for "identity politics" on someone else's dime. I wish the Democratic party would stop complying with him. He lost the primary by large margins. Democrats do not want him. I don't care how vocal his Tumblr supporters are and how many YouTube and HuffPo comments sections they flood.

I am not as down on the Sanders platform as I was but some of these people need to get off the idea that so many people are craving for single payer and free college. When I was phone banking for Quist in Montana I had a few voters who supported Quist tell me he needs to stop sounding like a socialist because most people don't want "freebees"  There is a case to be made for jobs but not everyone thinks that so called Free Healthcare and Free college is the answer. And when I relayed the messages that were told to me some did not want to hear it.

I was listening to a podcast with Norman Goldman the other day where someone called in from Michigan and talked about Working Class voters there. He said many were over 100 pds overweight never went to the doctor and didn't care about healthcare. They said all these people cared about was why they couldn't have the jobs they had 20 years ago. Hillary Clinton's message with the right messenger or a media system who might give a damn about that message would IMO win elections, She talked about jobs for those people involved needing infrastructure investments that would include broadband, job training is the way to address their concerns about jobs. Not everyone cares, especially in red lower educated areas, about free college and healthcare.

I keep managing to catch Nichole Wallace filling in for him on his show and I LOVE her. I enjoyed her on The View and thought they were fools to let her go and I love her hosting on MSNBC. I'd love for them to fire Brian Williams and let her have that timeslot. I know she has her own show already, but I feel she deserves a good timeslot based on what I've seen. As for their other issues, I didn't mind Greta, but  I don't understand the purpose of hiring her. Why haven't they given Joy Reid a shot at a weekday show yet? As for Megyn Kelly, she's simply not famous enough for her own shows. If bigger, more mainstream names couldn't do it, why do they think she can? At best she should've been added as a co-host of the third hour of Today so the audience can get to know her and put her on Dateline, not her own show. They put too much pressure on a person who is an unknown to anyone who doesn't watch Fox News. Yes that's a high rated network, but with a very specific audience that isn't necessarily tuning into NBC News or MSNBC.

I'd hate it. Hatehatehate it. Sherrod is such an amazing advocate for the people of Ohio that I simply refuse to give him up. I've often said that if Sherrod decided to run, I would chain myself to his front porch and sing "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going." But that's my selfishness talking.

Do I think he would win? Probably. His cred as being an champion of the working class is unassailable and minority voters here love him. He's basically Joe Biden 2.0. There would be some real problems with his wife though. She's an outspoken, pro-choice, feminist journalist who kept her maiden name. It would be the same attacks we saw against Hillary 30 years ago but on Fox News/Twitter steroids. Also the lefty purity ponies would turn on him after looking at his voting record. Just like they attack Cory Booker for his vote against Bernie's drug bill, Sherrod has made votes in the past that won't pass their high standards. He also was one of the first to endorse Hillary and the Berniacs still throw shade at him for that.

Frankly, I find Joe and Mika's claims to be more than a little disingenuous.  You didn't know he was so...obnoxious?  The guy who made those remarks about Mika is not the same guy you knew two years ago?  Bullshit.  You knew who and what Donald Trump was all along, and not only did you not care, you egged him on.

I say to those two what I'd say to anyone, from GOP leaders on down, who might have endorsed Trump in the beginning and are now feigning shock over his narcissism, his racism, his misogyny and complete disregard for law and order, professionalism, common sense and basic respect for others: you knew he was a snake when you brought him in the house, so enjoy.

    • I can definitely see that airing the same week as The Love Boat colliding with an iceberg and sinking while crossing the North Atlantic on the Titanic anniversary with a “Who lives and dies?!” Promo next to Mr Belvedere being blackmailed over his wanted fugitive status back in the UK

Agree with you both. I am also going assume that while Hotel may had some big numbers the first 2 seasons the demographics weren’t great. Reason I say this is I distinctly remember my parents watching St Elsewhere and/or The Equalizer after Dynasty.    I still don’t get Hotel’s designation as a primetime soap opera either lol. ABC should have aired Paper Dolls in the 10/9 slot on Wednesdays in the fall of 1984 to give that show some more legs.    Obviously ABC was eyeing a double bill night in the same vein as Dallas & Falcon Crest and that might have worked better than leaving Paper Dolls to the wolves in an untested timeslot.
    • I tend to stay out of EP discussions, simply because I rarely know who EPs when. And they all have their good and bad sides. But how are we supposed to judge JFP on anything other than what we see? I didn't know she was a director or a music director. (and unlike say, Chris Goutman, I never saw her credited as anything other than an EP) Specifically in the matter of casting Crampton, she took credit for it (or at Crampton gave her credit for it, whatever) and it was arguably, one of the worst recasts of the '90's (and either as bad or worse than the actress she fired).  She lost two important actresses in '92 and still decided to kill Maureen.  She had a wildly uneven tenure at GL. It's no wonder she's polarizing. But it kind of proves a point--great soap is always a that rare combination of everything clicking at the same time.
    • A degree does not make one an expert at their job, it just shows that you can follow directions from a technical standpoint.  It doesn't mean that they're creative. JFP was all about the look of a show without considering that technical beauty can only carry a show so far if there is nothing interesting to go along with it.  Equality means calling out flaws equally in both genders.
    • NBC or P&G was even fool enough to take a full page ad for two consecutive weeks in TV Guide promoting this horrible storyline.

    • JFP has had more defense for her decades of terrible producing than many male producers ever had.
    • It makes sense that she got a degree in directing. I've always said she should have been a director. I think she works better at the technical aspects of the show. I think her problem is the emotion/heart of a show.  She always guts the heart of the show she's on and she makes decisions that stop longtime viewers from watching a show. I don't think it's sexism to call that out especially as I've said similar things about Conboy. I've called out Rauch for much worse.
    • "Aunt Blanche" first appears toward the end of this episode, about 57 minutes in.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.
    • Of course!

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.
