Love, love, love, love SeriousBusinessMogulErica back OTJ and taking over Fusion. I hope Pratt can write a semi-believable business story for LaKane and crew...not have everyone just posing and being pretty morons (aka McTravesty style). Also Adam, perfect as always today.

I agree.

Thought the scenes with Erica were funny and awkward like they actually should have been. Also I like the further revealing of Reese jealousy or insecurity as a non-birth-mom (or whatever the term is, I'm a gay woman and have no idea). Also Bianca was really sweet to Reese about her feelings.

I also liked Bianca pulling Erica back off Zach for the moment.

Not sure how I feel about David and Amanda, particularly if Amanda is seriously vulnerable....bitchy and out for paybacks or kicks, yeah fine and dandy. I would rather see him with someone older or a less- crazy-Annie (MCE just plays more mature somehow) but will give it a shock.

Still find Jake terribly unappealing and loved watching David 3-snapping Jake all over the PVH board room meeting.

Taylor's story is annoying because nothing's progressing and it makes her self-pitying hard to bear and I was wanting to see her story develop. Plus the other part of the story is Jake berating her. Story needs a serious push.

I'm not feeling Taylor. Since her accident, both she and Jake have gotten worse. I saw a little bit and I mean a little bit of vulnerability in her today, but that credit really goes to Michael Knight. Tad and Frankie have had the best chemistry with her so far. I do feel that she's not a good fit with the cast. She seems out of place with all of the characters she's been opposite again, except Frankie and Tad like I said.

I don't see any chemistry/spark/sex appeal in Taylor and Jake, either.

I agree and that might be an even bigger problem than even the poor writing and what seems like really bad planning for the character. For some reason, BE just isn't fitting with the rest of the cast. I don't know if it's her acting style, Taylor's lack of real connection to any characters other than Jake and Frankie, or what but RPG has merged in fairly well but she just doesn't mesh. She's fit best so far with Tad but even that was a bit strained.

I wonder why Tracey Thomson is writing so many scripts lately too. This was her best so far, imo.

Zach is justified in this situation because Erica ambushed him by having the doctor just show up to take Kendall to Canada. It struck me as false that she wouldn't have talked to Zach about it first.

I loved the Bianca/Reese scenes where Reese admitted to not feeling as connected to Gabrielle as Bianca and Zach are. It makes sense to me that she would feel left out since she wasn't there for the birth. I also loved Erica's reaction to their engagement and I agree that Erica would have felt that same way if Kendall had suddenly announced she was marrying a man Erica had never met before.

I thought Jacob Young and Bobbie Eakes both gave great performances.

I like Taylor because she's so different from all the other women on the show. She's tough and not so interested in cosmetics and frilly things. I do agree that she doesn't fit in with the rest of the cast. I think more time should have been given to integrating her with characters other than Jake before this paralysis storyline started. It's hard to feel sympathy toward her because she's basically saying the same thing over and over and it feels to me like I've seen this same type of story told frequently over the years with characters I cared more about, e.g., Trevor. I may be the only one, but I like her chemistry with Jake; I just wish they didn't seem so islanded from the rest of the show.

I'm willing to give David & Amanda a chance but so far I'm not seeing sparks there.

Same here. The tantrum scenes are getting to be a little much but I can see why they are there -- Taylor is physically strong and now that has been taken away from her. On the whole, though, she is a nice contrast with AMC's uber-girly women of the show. She does need to be incorporated into the rest of the show more, and not just with Tad and Jake ( lthough I did like Taylor and Jake's angry scene in the hospital hallway). I'm thinking her friendship with Frankie might present an opportunity here.

RPG and Jake, on the other hand, seems to be settling in and one of the reasons has been the refocusing on the hospital as a work unit. I love seeing Joe, Angie, David and Jake battle it out on the hospital board, and setting up a Jake-David rivalry over Kendall's medical situation (and Zach's threat to sue) is clever. In fact, those hospital scenes had me riveted, even though Jake's "big secret" made me LMAO.

Erica and Adam. Words cannot express how much I love this couple. They don't even have to try.

It's so funny seeing Eden Reigel and Tamara Braun -- who are wee -- look down on pocket-sized Susan Lucci. I thought Erica's reaction to the engagement was just right.

David-Amanda-JR... I really hope this is where it's going!

All-in-all, AMC is a real satisfying watch at the moment. I am wondering where Jackson and Carmen are, though. I'd love to see Jackson and David growl at each other.

Andy, I have been avoiding all the topics of discussing the daily shows but I had to say I loved all your comments about this eppy and agree with them all.

Zach continues to make me just hate him. He is the worst part of this story. I hated his attitude again yesterday but it is typical of him and another reason I just do not like the character and cannot get into him and Kendall.

On the other hand I am loving to hate David. I love when I get so mad at characters that I want to throw things at the TV. And David makes me do that but I love it. It is so good to have a good old antagonist to stir things up.

AMC continues to be on fire and yesterday was just another great example of an ensemble show. The writing was good and I didn't get bored with seeing too much of anyone.

I will not get into the other because we will never agree. But I will answer your question yes there is something you can do about a coma. Not everything works but these specialty units do work wonders with them plus they have more specialized care that a coma patient needs.

Besides it is a soap opera - they can do anything with medical conditions.

Steve! I miss you - glad to see you're enjoying the show and posting.

Even if it was initially a shock or surprised to Zach, he didn't have to be an ass to everyone about it and completely refuse the idea throughout the episode. If he would listen to Joe or Bianca or whoever else tried to talk to him, he would realize that this will only help Kendall and that he should go with it. He didn't have to be a total prick to everyone about it and be hardheaded enough to refuse to move her since he wasn't initially informed of the idea. That's being stubborn. He just has this God-like attitude about things that irritates the hell outta me sometimes.

I like Taylor--I'm with Steve here that lately they haven't quite handled her right, but I like that she's so different from the women on the show recently--it's refreshing and I find I have sympathy for her (her obsession with going back to Iraq and feeling of uselessness not being there is 100% dead on too). I'm sorry so few seem to like her...

I do think the Amanda/jake break up shoulda been handled better. the dialogue was fine but it needed to be hinted at more than just in this episode if they wanted it to work. I kinda like David taking advantage of her though and maybe giving her more story--but I don't see anything "real" there, at least not yet.

I do think Erica was reacting how she woulda to anyone she didn't hand pick but I do think Susan played it with some re=mnants of her still not being 100% about Bianca being a lesbian (or a lesbian in a marriage) which i think is completely accurate and fascinating for the character.

I like Taylor too. There's characters being whiny and bitchy just because they're whiny and bitchy, but I think Taylor's circumstances would make any normal person unhappy and bitter-- she's "lost" the love of her life, she cannot go back to Iraq, and she's stuck in a wheelchair. Throw PTSD in the mix and you've got a very cranky person. I am interested to see Pratt delve deeper into her PTSD issues, and her past, and I think he will be doing that soon. I think an unfortunate aspect of the story is that while everything else on the show is moving at a very swift pace, the story stalled for a bit, as they didn't have their Brot ready yet. I think when he appears the story will take off, and I'm interested to see how it goes. I like the character, too, because she isn't the cookie-cutter Fusion glamazon like most of the other females. And despite her current situation, I think she's a very strong woman underneath it all.
