Diane is currently MIA. Months ago she had a random scene where she said Bernice needed her, and off she went. Months have gone by and no-one ever mentions her at all.

I've quit this show, now, as I just couldn't take any more of its predictable, boring, miserable, character-destroying direction. I can't tune in for David and Nikhil alone, as they don't feature much. I will watch the Live episode, and whenever Nikhil & Gennie get married/give birth. Each new storyline destroys another character. Zak, Lisa, Marlon, Laurel, Ashley, Victoria, Moira, Cain, Jai, Chas, Cameron, Val... all ruined/being ruined. Rachel gets more annoying by the second, while the Maceys are an awful family, along with the Spencers, and Amy is an abomination.

See I didn't know that Diane was MIA as the last full episode I watched was Aaron leaving village. All these affair stories and the p*ss poor reveal of the "whodunnit" with Cain left me unappeased.

Chas has become so desperate for any man that she's dating one of Larry, Darryl and Darryl. The weird part is that due to unflattering hair choices and the aging process, Carl/Cameron/Dan could pass as brothers.

I like the Chas story. Though Cameron better be written out once it's all said and done. He's one of the most horrible characters ever.

Cameron would be better off with less clothes. The character feels empty because he's all plot and constantly behaves like an ass (leaving his wife and kids for Debbie, cheating on Debbie). They need to break him from Debbie and they need to color her hair dark again.

I actually think I could like Dan/Chas if they were written as a real couple. He's a deadbeat but it's nice that he stands up for her, and if the story weren't so rushed, Chas seeing him support her and realizing no man has done that in a long time would be a touching romance. And he's not all that bad looking. He doesn't even look too different from Carl these days. I will always like Carl/Chas but I don't know if you can go back.

Lucy Parteger reminds me more and more of Tracey Ullmann doing a character, but I still have a soft spot for Chas.

I just can't believe with 6 episodes a week they can't come up with better pacing.

Paddy's shaved head terrifies me. He looks like a demonic Humpty Dumpty.

I actually find Dan/Chas quite charming and endearing. Of course, at first I was like "um... ok. ugh" but they're really grown on me. That said, I do agree that they're rushing this along far too quickly and I hope that doesn't ruin the couple for the future. And I'm glad someone agrees with me that Chas reminds me of Tracy Ullman (expect I think it's Tracy doing her version of Peg Bundy).

Chas and Dan are a joke. I can only think that TPTB are using them to set up a wedding that will explode on the show's live show for its 25th anniversary.

I really, really hope that with today's news from Diane that Bernice's current relationship is in trouble that a return could be in the works, especially with Ashley and Laurel's marriage being over. If this happens, I'll be ecstatic.

Hopefully, they are going to bring back Bernice so she and Ashley can get their back from horrible Laurel and Marlon. I am still not watching ED though.

Kim is my favourite character (next to Lady Tara - and Zoe), and even though I'd love for her to return, I know she can't top what she's already done. Besides, Kim has no place in current Emmerdale; they would ruin her the minute she'd take her first steps.

Biff should have stayed around longer.
