I'm sure the Dingles have been/still are popular. Otherwise they wouldn't have lasted as long as they have or dominated the show as much as they have done over the years.

But I have never liked that family. Quite the opposite in fact. I have hated them since they first appeared on the show way back in 1994, and I wouldn't shed a single tear if they were all written out tomorrow. I would dance with joy.

I can understand why people would not like the Dingles. The writting is on the wall for that family anyway for a while. But so is the writting for the whole show lately

I only like Belle especially when she is playing her mental illness storyline. That actress is on a different level.

i can tolerate Cain when he is more soft like the last few months. But Charity is a lot to take in. I loved her with Vanessa so much tbh. Shame Vanessa left coz of the actress pregnancy. Later the MacKenzie/Charity thing was quiet amusing but it’s boring now. Charity’s son is annoying as hell. Zak is just sitting around these days in the pub or cafe so he is tolerable. Chas is hit or miss for me. Paddy deserves better. Liv is alright but her dialogue became repetitive but I guess that’s normal with alcoholics.

Yeah, nothing says "Merry Christmas" quite like a burned corpse.... right?!

I wish I could say that I care who the unfortunate one is, but I really don't. I'm gonna take a guess though that it's not Manpreet. That would be too obvious and I'm sure there's a twist somewhere.....

I love that hidden spoiler. Meena is a great comedic villain. She is psycho! People with mental illness are the most dangerous and Paige is playing that pretty good.

the behind the scenes drama is ridiculous. The Ellis actor Anthony left coz Matthew Wolfenden (David) and Isabel (Victoria) made some funny accents and it seemed like it was about one actress. So that boy left because he thought he could pull a public stunt and get some attention out of it. I mean it wasn’t even about him.

Good luck finding a new job like this.
i get when people find it offensive to mock different accents but come on. People can’t take jokes anymore.

great move by Emmerdale to bring back Matthew (David) now where Anthony (Ellis) is leaving. His character wasn’t something special anyway.
the behind the scenes drama but more entertaining than some of the actual Storys

That was such an amazing Christmas episode! The Meena/Manpreet story was so damn well written and acted!

the explosion was quiet ridiculous like last times Woolpack explosion but it was fitting for this entire mental Story. The way the Christmas song came on after the todays explosion and them both layin there even got a laugh out of me.

I really hope Emmerdale wins something at the Soap Awards or NTAS.. The great Survival Stunt Week from September or October.. The great Christmas Episode.. and great and shocking exits. Emmerdale is more entertaining than Corrie/EE right now

Vinnie gets involved in the Menna story too. Damn.. Come on. I love Meena but what the hell is with those writers and dragging this story on for so long? Are they trying to systematically bring ED to an end?

Return to the show: Vanessa!

Yay this is what Emmerdale needs…. Another character.. It’s not like we have a cast with about 40 people who are just walking around with nothing to do. Like that guy Dan. I completely forgot about him and he just popped up for a scene at the street after  being gone for like months and he‘s gone again.
i wonder how the producers decide how to use which character… This is becoming ridiculous

i kinda loved Vanessa/Charity.. She brought Charity’s character back to life but I kinda like her with Mackenzie!

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
