Loved the last part of this scene. Beautiful writing, acting, and direction. People only ever talk about Freddie Jones when they want to talk about ham but he's given some absolutely aching performances lately. Moments like this are why I still hope for Emmerdale.

The shows been so good lately.

I knew Emma would know deep down that there was something wrong with my bae Ross. It was cute seen Finn hold baby Moses.

Debs da Ho finds out her goodies aren't enough to charm Pete anymore. That scene was great. Anthony Q is playing that barely constrained rage so good. I love the edge to his scenes now. I literally half expect him to start choking Debbie or throwing things around

Totally. I'm really enjoying unhinged Emma - any scene where she strides into The Woolpack and tells it like it is always gets me going! I love that she calls out the Dingles for what they are - 'inbred' etc. And referring to Debbie's 'sour face' was just wonderful.

Emmerdale also put up a return video for him, with a few upcoming scenes.

Good episode overall, especially the Val scenes. I guess this was the last time we'll see her. It was true Val - in all her glory and OTT messiness. And I like the way they are wrapping up the Rachel story (most of all I'm just glad she's going).

I hope this is the end of Debbie/Pete. His behavior with her was more than a little frightening. This triangle needs to die.

OMG. Thank you, Emmerdale and Kate Oates!

She is giving me the soapy goodness I've been wanting and yearning for. A classic red-herring that actually worked. They also used social media in a smart way to fool us all into believing Michael Parr was actually gone. I signed a freaking petition to get him back.

This show is why I don't believe soaps are dead. Yeah, the model needs retooling but the product still excels when done correctly. US soaps need to take note.

I can't say anything bad about Emmerdale. All the stories are hot even though there are a few things I don't care for (Robert being the village scape goat) but at least they are trying.

    •     data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== Janice Frame is Evan's mother. Janice & Mac were together. Janice was up to no good. Mitch was helping her. She was slowly, little by little, every day, POISONING Mac. She was almost successful. In St. Croix, Rachel & Janice began what was literally a physical fight. They fell into the resort swimming pool, continuing to fight each other. Somehow, I guess Janice had it on her, there was a knife in play but Rachel kept Janice from stabbing her & got it away from her & they continued to struggle until Rachel stabbed Janice, which was a death blow. Mitch did a 180 & helped Rachel get Mac to the hospital. He was so weakened by the poison he could not even stand unassisted. It took both of them together to walk him to the hospital but it did save his life.  The St. Croix remote was SO beautiful, but so dangerous & scary. Also action-packed.     data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== Hooray! Maxim's back
    • Thanks @skylark and @DRW50!

    • I do not think I have ever agreed with Vee. Normally I do not read him, Ignore ya know. For some unknown reason I clicked to read. And I agree 1000%. Now, this is so odd that I need to go away for a bit.
    • Justine had a lot of hooey in it, but she was an actual woman, not a guy in drag. She was a doppelganger of Rachel, French, having had a past history with Carl, etc. Two of the more outrageous parts-Justine bricking alive Vicky into a wall & Justine grinding the gears driving a big rig.
    • Hehe, twi/x actually x, formerly Twitter. Typically I find 2 sources for "crazy fan rumors" - the wrong parts of FB and x. Oy.
    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • My bad….ill fix that  Fixed
    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.
