Speaking of Mitchells. I am going to have a very tough time watching Phil in a lead story. I really don't find him to be a good actor at all.

Phil may be an exhausted character at times, but I don't know if I could say Steve McFadden is a bad actor or incompetent. When he's given the material, which I think the drug story has potential to be, he more than upholds his end of things.

I always laugh at this Truemans vs. Slaters fight. It gets particularly hilarious when Patrick has Mo in a headlock.

I hope Kat wears lots of animal prints on her return!

Today's episode:

Wow, Bianca mentioned Alan, so they haven't forgotten about him.

The scenes with Carol and that recruiting officer were funny and typical Carol.

I really hate Whitney when she's in all-Billie mode, like she was today. He's not worth it, ugh.

Mo's homophobia.

I really enjoy Denise and Zainab's friendship. They didn't have to play out the scenes with Denise first being back at home with her family, but I'm glad they did. I can understand Chelsea wanting to leave after all that's happened.

Had I not already known Phil would slap the sh!t out of Peggy, I would have been shocked by the cliffhanger. Though, didn't Grant also slap the sh!t out of her once too?

I'm looking forward to Thursday's episode with Lisa's one-off appearance.

I wasn't aware of Phil's slap, so when it happened, my jaw was on the floor. But again, I don't like Steve McFadden. He swirls around too much. It's bothersome.

Grant did slap Peggy, but it was more of an accident. Phi deliberately slapped the hell out of Peggy today. I can't stand her or her cretin sons. It was only a matter of time before they turned on her, but that slap was damn disrespectful.

I didn't really enjoy today's show. However, it was good to see Denise home. I don't blame Chelsea for wanting to get away from the Square.

I like Denise and Zainab's friendship, but I can't get over how poorly Zainab has treated her own son. I hope Denise confronts her on this issue when she finds out that Syed is gay.

I'm glad that Carol is getting man. I can't imagine him putting up with her for very long though.

Mo's homophobic comments were perfectly stupid. I love Kirkwood throwing that rubbish back into the faces of the bigots watching and making them feel like fools.

I think what really stung Phil and got that reaction out of him was Peggy of all people calling him a bad father and saying Louise would be better off without him.

She's done nothing but whitewash the mistakes of her children and stick up for them when she knows they're wrong. It's a bit surprising that she told Phil that.

Mo: Last thing we need is YMCA blasting off at all hours!

True. Where Peggy is concerned it is usually the woman's fault never her precious sons. Every once in a blue moon her eyes are opened and she sees them for the monsters that they are. It isn't a coincidence that Grant "accidentally" slapped her when she was confronting him about his violence towards women and mentioned that Sharon was right to leave him. -Terrific Character During Quite A Bad Time For The Show.Loved the fact he killed Andy Hunter by pushing him off the bridge and love the fact that he wasn`t afriad of the mitchells.Exit was dissapointing though.Heart Attack! Really ?

-Annoying,Bratty and Stupid Character.But Louisa Lytton was hot and Janine needs someone to fleece

-First Return tanked.It was basically her reprising Clare Devine from Hollyoaks.I would bring her back and change the character up a bit.Make her more relaxed and maybe give her an addiction

Me. I never could stand Michelle and her sour face.

Michelle was a strange character in that she was often a very selfish, dour person, but I usually couldn't help feeling sorry for her and wanting her to get what she wanted, even when she was being pretty callous (like the way she treated Lofty). Susan Tully was an amazing actress, ridiculously underrated.

Without her there is no real reason to ever see Michelle again unless they find a brilliant actress to take the role over and they know how to write Michelle, which won't be easy.
