Noe of this will have any significance two months from now. That's been the show's big issue over the past few years - so many stunts with little ramification in the end. The fact the show seems to be built around stunts totally goes against its grain too.

Well, I called it, didn't I? Carla will be the landlady of the Rovers before Allison King's departure?

This Leanne and Simon story is going to play out like bad camp, just you watch.

Time for Leanne to send this little sh!t to live with Ken or Peter when he comes back for Deidre's funeral...

Tracy didn't know the candle would cause a fire. She went there to kill Carla but changed her mind.

By soap standards it's actually a fairly clever way to get her out of real trouble, but I imagine she would still have to face something when the truth comes out.

BF I agree with you about the Simon stuff. I just don't think the boy who plays him can play this. And it will definitely be seen as camp.

Anne Kirkbride memorial.

I read that as a joke, in the closing moments of the ceremony, her husband played the Eastenders theme.

Cheryl Murray, who played the one and only Suzie Birchall, has several scenes in the later parts of this Emmerdale episode. Looks like it's her last credited appearance on IMDB.

The Tracy and Deirdre parts cracked me up.

You can't really poke gentle fun at the show now, because it has lost so much of its heart and individuality.

Did Phyllis Pearce have an exit?
