I've always thought Zoe was underrated too. One thing to keep in mind is that she had chemistry with every single love interest she ever had. Psycho Will, steady Zak, wild card Darren, daddy figure Mike, best friend Sarah -- she was great with ALL of them. I hope that she gets some work. I still miss Jennifer Biddall/Jess.

I am just now finishing up the episode from the 18th and it's not exactly smooth sailing. One after the other we had...

1. Scenes with the horribly annoying Spencer, who is like a dinner theater production of Rain Man. He makes Sasha look like Garbo.

2. Scenes with Texas, who, together with India, makes me fear some sort of secession nuclear powered catastrophe of bad acting.

3. Scenes with the posh boy toughie, who seems like he just got out of gay porn, not like he's any type of gang threat.

I'm glad for the scene where Tony apologized to Jacqui for how he had treated her when they were together. I was a fan of Tony/Jacqui :(

Speaking of the Mystery Murder rejects, I actually didn't mind the lesbian chick. Whoever the hell she is.

And ugh, I really don't like Darren hooking up with Mrs. Ashworth. So stupid, just like his random/nonsensical relationship with Hannah. Anything Marquess gives him has got to be better than this mush.

Friday`s episode was good stuff. The Killer does make sense, but i would have picked someone else.

I think the only reason I like India is because she is attractive, especially this week in that cheerleader outfit. Don`t like Texas. Hopefully she is short term.

I love Darren but don`t like where they are taking the character.

Next Week is the aftermath and it is going to be very interesting.

Lucy Allan is still credited in next Monday's episode. We might see Marquess's name in the credits sometime next week, or in the week after, I would guess.

I wonder what they're going to do with Carmel now that she's finally away from Calvin. Would she make a good love interest for Lee? They're both somewhat "comedic" characters and could be a real quirky couple. Or would Lee be better off paired with Steph as she's like the only one he knows? I don't really like Gilly and Steph...

I would like to see them try out Gilly & Steph and see if it works. If it doesn`t then introduce someone new for Steph. I can see Lee & Carmel together, that would be very interesting.

Also BRING BACK BOMBHEAD lol him & lee were great.

I also have a question for all Hollyoaks Fans.

Out of all of them Male And Female, which is in your opinion the best Hollyoaks Villian out of the whole 15 years.

Mine are

Niall Rafferty

Clare Devine

Andy Holt

Scott Anderson

Sam Owen

I disagree. Niall was a pyschopath. Killed three people on Hollyoaks (Max,Keiran & Tina) and then killed himself. Plus Barry Sloane was just great.

I like Clare but her 2009 return was pointless. She left on such a high note and would have been great if she got away with it.

The biggest villain on the show for their first 3 or 4 years was a man named Rob Hawthorne. He made life hell for the show's main hero, Kurt Benson, and got Kurt's sister Lucy hooked on drugs.

Another villain was Scott Anderson.

There was also Toby Mills, a serial killer (he's the reason Steph has epilepsy -- he attacked her; she was the only one of his victims to survive). His supposed best mate, Dan Hunter, ended up being tried and put in prison for the murders Toby committed, because his wife/Dan's sister Ellie wouldn't admit what Toby had done.

They don't mention Steph's epilepsy very often. I haven't seen the show much the past few years but after Max died, when Steph wanted to become a weather girl, she was doing some report for Zoe and she was shocked by a light or something and had a seizure. In summer 2007 she also had a seizure when she was very stressed. Max took care of her. That was one of the reasons they began to fall in love.

The guy who raped Luke was a villain at the time but not a long-running villain.

There was also Macki, a racist thug who caused huge problems for Justin and his family, a story which dominated the show in 2005 and is probably one of the reasons people stayed interested...

    • Thank you for the constructive suggestion.
    • But how is it "apparent" that she signed a new 3-year contract? Your wording had a voice of authority -- as if you knew it was true. A better way to post about it? Say you read online that she signed a new contract, but have no idea if that's true.
    • This interview actually reminds me a bit of Kim Zimmer’s press during the infamous clone storyline on Guiding Light, or Deidre Hall during the possession story on Days. All three were seasoned daytime veterans who made it clear they valued airtime for their characters, not just being part of a romantic pairing. It seems that idea was part of the pitch behind these bigger-than-life plots. They all took big swings in their performances. When I read Kim Zimmer’s memoir, I thought she captured it best — she wanted to be respected for being willing to take those risks. To paraphrase her, she knew it was ridiculous for Reva to think she was pregnant after menopause, but she still threw herself into those scenes and made them real. That’s what really struck me about Victoria Wyndham’s interview too. She responded like a real person. It felt like she was telling Michael Logan that she knew Justine — and a geriatric pregnancy with twins — was totally preposterous, but that she still deserved credit for trying to keep the show alive and entertain the audience. And honestly, I think that's more than fair. Logan is looking for a reductive answer for who is to blame.  And, she's telling him to accept that they were all well-meaning.  Which is not a defense of bad storytelling.  But, I understand that she's frustrated because she interpreted Logan's critique as a lack of commitment, and she wants him to know that she was committed! (maybe not for the best, but committed).
    • Fine, you only had to say so. It's not a problem to me NOT to post this. I have no idea what this means.
    • Oh, really? I think we're really getting close.  What does "apparently" mean to you? To me, it means that this is something I think has happened but not something I absolutely positively know to have happened. When I use a word like "apparently" as I have here, I am doing so by intent. Can you think of a better way to communicate that?
    • Wow...I was not expecting a montage.   I know SilkPress did not!!! Poor Eva.  Lol. Funnily enough I missed that.
    • For the record, VW thought having the twins at their ages was absurd & who wanted that story, was some group of fans, who wanted her & Carl to have a chance at having children together. Not any fans that I knew of, but supposedly they existed.
    • Brandon Tartikoff saved NBC primetime. Brandon Stoddard got ABC Tuesday to rebound and put an end to the Aaron Spelling hit factory.
    • Awwwww Brad. I know I shouldn't, but I feel bad for him

And yeah, agreed that Dante having animosity towards Gio is very forced and contrived. And it also has me concerned that it means the reveal won't be happening anytime soon.
    • God, I love that woman. Another amazing interview!!
