Bwah! They had me until the close up of his shower flip-flops.

No, I admit, he is a looker.

It wouldn't take me long to get rid of his towel! :P

Imagine waking up to that every morning! :DB)

You should ask Nadia Bjorlin about that. Allegedly. B)

I'm waiting for either

a. Marcus and Owen waking up in bed together (Owen: "Oh, man, I missed this"). Oops! Or

b. Felicia getting Owen to tempt Donna away from Eric -- and then Fifi starting her own affair with Pecs.

That's why I included it. That is SUCH an unusual picture to take of a man on a daytime soap. I can't recall a closeup of feet like that in....EVER...on daytime.

Very unusual. Lots of people LIKE looking at feet...men's and women's...but I have never seen that desire catered to on daytime television before.

But maybe this is the new plan to save daytime! Attract the fetishists!

I somehow think Cat meant that his lower legs/crus look so thin, unmanly... Like when everyone made fun of Brad Pitt's legs in Troy.

I preferred Eric Bana in Troy myself. B)

It's not the legs, which are perfectly fine. It's the feet and the flip-flops. They are so ubiquitous! Everybody slouches around looking like they just rolled out of bed, pulled them on and left the house.

I've never had a foot fetish, so looking at men's feet does nothing for me. But in Owen's situation, I guess I would have preferred his feet to be totally bare. He drops the towel... Donna's eyes linger over the perfect pecs... the smooth, chiseled stomach... an undoubtedly outstanding male appendage... taut thighs... and then some plastic K-mart sandals? He's naked but for those things?

LOL. He wouldn't wanna catch any nasty foot diseases at the Forrester pool.

It's not his feet I'd be looking at, my eyes would be on other body parts! :D:D

Cat, BTW, who is your soap hunk supreme?

So wait... what went on in the episode? Owen dropped his towel and was nude for Donna? Except the flip flops?

Cat, I vote for Owen and Marcus to wake up in bed together. Talk about bringing scandal to Forrester Creations?! Donna's illegitimate, given-up-for-adoption, mixed race son comes to L.A., nabs a job at the new family company, and starts making eyes at Forrester girl Steffy........ only to be dallying on the down low with hunky Owen?!

The vapors are coming back. Hot damn. I need to start watching this show regularly. B&B makes me so shallow.

The Katie/Nick/Bridget triangle has got to be about one of the worst on tv

Yes, it is. It's mind numbing.

Marcus & Owen that's too much muscles in one bed.

Good point. It needs to be a really small bed, too.... like a twin bed... so they have to be really CLOSE.

LOL, I don't really have one. Eric Bana, Vincent d'Onofrio and Skeet Ulrich are more my speed. When I was very young, Roscoe Born's voice in Santa Barbara made me shiver in anticipation (but a voice does not = hunkiness). Paolo Seganti who played Damian Grimaldi on mid-90s ATWT had a very appealing intensity back then. A long-haired Ted King on GH, who had to remove his shirt for Carly to shave his beard. I guess among the current crop... Jay Kenneth Johnson and Michael Grazadei, because they both have a devilish glint in their eye.

Shallow is good. Isn't what soaps are about? Escapism?

David, the first scene I watched between Marcus and Owen, my mind suddenly jumped ito a possible story for these two (not an area I usually go!). Picture it: eliptical references by Owen about Donna not knowing "everything there is to know" about Marcus. A definite threat and tension in the air between the two men. Owen blackmailing Marcus that he would tell Steffy... about what? The audience would be in the dark.

Then we'd come to a Friday episode, possible Friday October 31st? The A story would probably be Katie/Nick/Bridget, with Bridget confronting the other two about their wuv. B story: Marcus showing up at Owen's digs. "I'm putting a stop to your blackmail. Here's all the money I got. Now get outta town."

The KatNickBridget story builds to a crescendo (and possibly Bridget's long-anticipated nervous breakdown). Then, as Bridget attacks Nick with a knife... B&B blindsides us with the REAL cliffhanger. Owen has his arms wrapped around Marcus. In bed. He's saying "It's been so long. I missed this." Marcus luxuriates in the moment... then pulls away. "It won't be happening again."

And thus, while ATWT where teasing their Nuke fans about will they/won't they kiss, B&B decided to leapfrog all that nonsense and cut right to the chase.

And I'm not even saying that should interfere with the Marcus/Steffy romance (which I happen to really like) or an Owen/Felicia pairing. Owen could be openly bisexual. Marcus? Is he confused? Seduced by a charismatic, worldly bad boy? Blackmailed by a predatory villain? B&B could go a lot of routes here. I'm just not sure TPTB have the balls or finesse (or the permission from CBS) to play all those beats.

Oh, well. Where CBS fears to tread, HBO or F/X has probably already walked that road!
