June 23, 200817 yr Author Member I also see her as Cassie on OLTL. Mixing it up with Kassie DePaiva and Robin Strasser as a Cramer woman? Fantastic! Romantic history with Kevin and Bo (though the Bo thing was kinda forgotten as Cassie seemed to get younger with recasts, didn't she)? And Adriana's out, so Dorian needs her daughter. Byrne also can do well with mental instability, and think she could bring a lot of raw emotion to a character like Cassie. I could definitely go for that. OLTL is so good right now and I think bringing Martha on in six months or so could only help. Edited June 23, 200817 yr by Juliajms

Nah, Cassie didn't get younger with recasts (there have only been four, and with the exception of the jump from #1 (Cusi Cram) to #2 (Ava Haddad), I think they have been roughly similar in age. Laura Koffman was the only one to play the part when the character was involved with Bo, but he ended up dumping her at the altar when Sarah returned from the dead.

Nothing against Martha Byrne, but I'm still hoping Laura Koffman can return as Cassie. And now that Melissa Fumero is more of a proven talent, I'd love to see the two dopplegangers together as sisters somewhere down the road.
June 23, 200817 yr Member Martha is going to find it hard to get employed in daytime. She's hitting 40, is very closely identified with ATWT and probably goes for a high price. The P&G soaps are dead to her, OLTL is too full of divas, AMC is the only option, she could be good there, it's hard to tell. Y&R and B&B: forget it. GH: nearing 40, forget it. DAYS: forget it. What makes someone like Beth Ehlers more appealing to producers than someone like Martha? They're around the same age...apparently Beth had offers from Y&R as well as AMC while she still had her job at GL and I don't get it. Edited June 23, 200817 yr by Helena
June 23, 200817 yr Author Member ^^ No offense to BE fans, but she looks much older than Martha to me. I think Martha may be getting offers and just isn't rushing into anything. Hopefully well hear something before too long.
June 25, 200817 yr Member I doubt BE would go to CBS after flaking on GL the way she did she didnt give them much in the way of notice. Not that they deserved it
