Yet, Bill never promoted Natalie. Funny...

Why would he promote them when Alden (who you're oh so fond of) and Smith were there longer, deserved a promotion, and got it.

Natalie and Janice were there for a long time under Alden and Smith, it would be natural if they got a promotion....

I meant, he didn't promote her to AHW position, not HW...

You know I dislike Alden. And you do, too, if I remember? Only somewhat less.

I cannot do this anymore! My words keep getting turned around into something I didn't say! A farce (my favourite word)!

Here's your quote: "So that we don't end up with an ex-secretary head-writing a soap." Then I pointed to Carolyn Culliton. How did I twist that around? LOL

So? Natalie was still working her way up and it's not like Bill wasn't involved with the writing in 1998.

Boy, this is the wrong thread to discuss this. LOL

If you can't figure it out, I can't tell you.

Whoa, Y&R I doubt has bottomed out yet, but those are horrendous numbers for the show. Pretty soon a 3.0 will be a thing of the past.

As for The Price is Right, I recall reading an article a while ago that it was up from Bob Barker. Look at how regularly they're giving Drew (successful) primetime specials. I can't see it tanking too much if they continue to do t hat.

Actually I remember reading that TPIR is DOWN from when BB was hosting. The primetime specials are probably doing good though

He is. A lot of diehard soap fans will find this surprising but just because someone leaves a soap that doesn't mean their career is over. I know you understand that as do most of the posters here I'm just surprised by some of the comments I've read on other boards.

DW has worked quite steadily as a director and he seems to enjoy doing some occasional theatre work. Plus - and I only learned this recently - he's been a MUCH sought after acting coach for years. Not surprising.

Neither Debbie nor Darnell needed to come back. They chose to. And I couldn't be more grateful.

Debbie has had numerous primetime and movie roles. I believe she also is a very sought after acting coach. I'm thinking like you that they may have only come back for the good of the team. I don't think either one of them needed the work. They are re-establishing an African-American family on AMC. All of ABCD could do much much better in that regard. CBS, is far ahead of ABC in that respect.

What is happening to Y&R?? :o:o The show is sinking fast!!

ATWT...not a surprise...the show is sucking again.

OLTL will go down next week. It's been up two straight weeks. No soap has gone up three weeks in a row this year. ;)

Days numbers arent that bad.

Surprised AMC didnt go up and went down in Total Viewers.

I know the ONLY reason you say that is because of your hatred of OLTL. ;)

He was an acting coach at AMC for years. He also had a recurring role on Felicity as a Guidance Counselor. He was on GL last summer.

It's a fact! Mark my words. :D;)

Okay, okay....if you say so. ;)

Darnell Williams? Wasn't he a Director or something for a time on OLTL last year?

It COULD go down or stay the same, but I have no doubt it will go back up next week. Of course, that doesn't address rankings, which depend on the performance of other soaps. Theoretically OLTL could hold 3rd in households with a 2.0 ( I never thought I'd see the day I said that )
