"The identity of the dad who is black" -- if this was actually written to be a decent story, the race of the character wouldn't mean a damn when it came to tipping off the press. What a crass comment.

I'm all for adding diversity and the story in itself isn't necessarily bad but casting a far too old actor and then angling for a Nobel prize because he's not caucasian doesn't make me want to get on board.

So.Much.WORD.

And you know it's kinda ridiculous that Donna would assume that black = staff. Or that they'd write such an antiquated scene. Donna is in her 30s, she's certainly been around more black people, people of various ethnicities than someone like Stephanie. I mean, unless he's wearing a uniform or surrounded by other employees why would she make such assumptions?

JG is only 10 years older than Texas Battle... but on the same token I guess Lesley Anne Down is only 10 years older than Jack Wagner... Honestly, why do they make these people parents to such old kids, I mean... Lesley Anne and Jack may have been a good COUPLE, not mother and son... besides they always have this look like they just want to hop into bed with each other :P You go Jackie M. No but seriously it's crazy. Same thing with KKL and Brady, I mean, Rick ;)

JG is 10 years older than the actor. However, how old is Donna? I would assume shes mid 30's. Now if she had this guy when she was 15/16 he would be 15/16 now... the acxtor may be older but he looks - and plays - 20. so if his char is say 20, and donna is say 35... i dont see the issue.

and donna wasnt ont he show at 16 - katie was the 16 yearold when the show started, donna was about 18 so its not a history rewrite, IMHO. donn has alkways kinda been a whore, so i dont see it being shocking.

i love that he is black. it makes me wonder if lt Baker is his father...

i also dont mind that she mistakes him for staff. if he shows up at the mansion, and she snever seen him before and hes just there i could see it - esp with a gold diggin slut like donna. it should be great. so much can come from this lets just hope both B&B's (the show and brad bell) actually go with it and he doesnt get all add and drop it one day.

Maybe it is Lt. Baker and he raped Donna or something :o

No rape, please! We don't need that To-Kill-A-Mockingbird thing again, 50+ years later.

Consensual, even loving sex is fine. NO RAPE!

I do have this horrible, horrible feeling that the father will either be 12-year-old Charlie or worse Lt Baker. I don't see them casting another role. I can just picture them sat round the table and being like "Well we've got these two black guys on recurring..."

I'm not going to make complete judgement until it plays out but at the moment it seems so hamfisted, it's funny.

Especially someone who works in the fashion business.

Sounds like a storyline with a lot of potential. I would have loved it if it caught me by surprise... lol... I would enjoy the soaps so much more if I wasn't addicted to the spoilers ;)

I love JG as scandalous Donna Logan. I remember watching her as Grace on Y&R and thinking that she would make a great Donna.

The show is getting very good. Please don't turn it into a joke again, PLEASE. It is great when the Logans and the Forresters act like normal families. Brooke seems like a mature person these days, please don't get her in another overused triangle!
