This spin-off of Melrose Place focuses on the glamour and intrigue of the world of modeling.
The tough and ambitious Hillary Michaels operates the agency Models Inc., whose models all share
a luxurious beach house but are often at odds with each other. They include Sarah, a naive newcomer
straight from the Midwest; Julie, the resident bitch who eventually develops a softer side;
Linda, a troubled young woman with an abusive boyfriend and a scandalous past;
Carrie, the "over-the-hill" model struggling to maintain her foothold in the industry;
and Carrie's sister, Teri, a rising star whose ambition leads to a tragic downfall.

Another short-running, but interesting series that was spun-off from "Melrose Place." I personally enjoyed watching this show and was sad when they canceled it. Does anyone else remember this show?

Do I remember it? Let's see...of course! FOX was my guilty pleasure back in the day with their combination of Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, Model's Inc., Party of Five and all their other intriguing soap opera themed drama series. Their current upscale/high class geared dramas aren't as good (not necessarily bad either) as FOX of the mid-90's.

I loved how Models Inc. started and I was saddened when it kept being pushed aside for something else because its ratings weren't that great.

Lovin the Models Inc Love! LOVED Models INC mostly because all of the models. I followed it more on E! in its afterlife then when it was on. I was hoping that it would come out on DVD but after a while I gave up and bought an "unofficial" set from someone who taped the show. I love watching it now though the beginning was a little rough around the edges. I loved Stephanie Ramonov, Cassidie Rae and of course Carrie Anne Moss who went on to hit it big in Matrix.

Yep.

Hers was basically the only story that was not resolved. She remained "somewhere in Latin America."

In the end, what happened to Carrie? She ended as a sex slave? I don't remember.

"Hell baby. You in hooker hell"

CLASSIC line! I will never forget it

Yay! I'm glad I posted that scene.

I have to continue with my rewatching of the show. Grayson isn't far off!

A wonderful scene from the show...

Not only a wonderful scene, but the FIRST scene of the show. ^_^ I was watching this with my mom and brother and when she fell out the casket my brother said, "That's fluke!" (slang for 'bullsh!t' :lol: ).

LOL at your story but this is not the first scene of the show. It's the first scene of episode 2. :P

My bad! Was the first ep like a "movie" sorta? I just strongly remember this being a "first", I guess the first "normal" ep? Did she jump to her death and land on a car in the first ep or was that another show? Oh SFK, yer losin' it kiddo. :lol:

starting a new romance, when you're kind of absent for a while. With me, that pacing is already built-in."

After 11 years as victimized Sue Ellen Ewing, it should be built in. "It was almost like a split personality," Gray marvels. "They'd say 'Action,' and my accent would come through, and Sue Ellen would evolve." Gray laughs that after going to a DALLAS retrospective at the Museum of Television and Radio (in New York City), she thought, "Oh, my God, I didn't know it was that bad! I mean the shoulder pads, the earrings, the long nails - everything was bigger than life."

Though she happily left Sue Ellen's gaudy jewelery behind, Gray still keeps in touch with Sue Ellen's crafty husband, J.R. In fact, Gray and Larry Hagman are great friends. "We talk all the time, and he and his wife are very close friends of mine," Gray says. She particularly appreciated their support when she ended her marriage to Ed Thrasher in 1983. "They were with me the whole time," she acknowledges. "It's a tumultuous time. You don't know who your friends are. This is a very 'couples' society, and people who used to invite me to places wouldn't because I was single. Larry and his wife really helped me a lot."

For now, Gray reports that there's no specific man in her life. Not that she's averse to the occasional fix-up. "Most of them are introduced by my friends," Gray says, "so they've been kind of wonderfully screened...and you know, I have a lot of male friends, real buddies, so I can call them and go to the movies of dinner." She's also very close to her children. "My son's getting married this year, and my daughter's married and has a baby. It isn't that i don't want a man in my life - I would love to share my life. I'm not really looking for that at this particular moment."

What she is on the lookout for are projects for her production company, LG Productions, run by her daughter, Kehly. "I've still got a lot of work to do," Gray says brightly. "But I feel like I'm very at home, like a well-tuned Ferrari." She pauses. "I feel good and mellow, like I'm just kind of humming."

Son Stroke

Linda Gray can't say enough good things about Brian Gaskill, who plays her on-camera son, David: "I adore him and treat him like one of my sons." Gaskill (who made his television debut on MODELS INC.) returns the compliment. "I tease her a lot," says Gaskill, "because she's got her big trailer - I say, 'Ooh, the big star." It's great that she can take it. I went to her once and said, 'I just want to make sure that teasing each other is cool. I'm really grateful that you're here doing this job, because other people could be playing this part and you'd know that there was a huge star on the set.' She's great - and she doesn't even have to try.
