I hate that Jennie is leaving too. Are we even going to see her again this season?

Sad that RE is leaving too, but the writing seems to be on the wall there. The show barely used his character at all this season and you can feel a small disconnect between Harry and Debbie. I can see Jasper murdering him, but with Debbie kissing Greg Vaughan's character, might make a little sense for the two to separate and he leaves BH.

Yesterday I randomly re-watched the two first episodes of "90210" and wow, this felt like a complete different show.

The old West Beverly set was so much better as was the old Wilson mansion. I miss Tabitha, she really lightened up every scene she was in and she always had the best lines.

What happened to the Peach Pit? Have we even seen it once this season? Didn't Dixon work there in season 1?

What happened to the school's lacrosse team and to Silver's devious blog?

I also miss Ethan. He would have been a much better match for Silver than that creep Teddy.

With Rob Estes leaving soon, what was the point of the whole "Harry and Tracy have a son together" storyline? That storyline has never been resolved properly. After that impostor Sean had left town with Tracy's money, Tracy vanished altogether and Harry never mentioned his son again.

These days, I only watch the show because of Naomi, Liam and Adrianna even though all three characters are written horribly.

Liam & Annie are all i care about.

For me the show went to hell when they decided to keep Adrianna alive. She should have died. Her living, the baby, her relationship with whats his name, it ate the show. Then when it came back there was little no focus on Annie who had an amazing finale in season 1.

Annie/Liam/Naomi/Ethan/Silver is where this should have gone this season.

There are a lot of unresolved storyline for the show.

Reading Huntress's post, it was the first time I ever remembered Harry and Tracy had a kid. After Tracy left the show (She's on HawthoRNe now), they dropped the entire storyline...I would have liked Harry to keep persuing it.

And this season seems so odd in the way that they really did drop Annie. She was the focus of the shows WHOLE first season, and she keeps fading more and more...And there was a lot of potential after the finale last year, that I really hope they build up to addressing more in the coming episodes.

Did the school set change this season? I didn't notice...I think it's a nice enough set, but I agree..I liked the Wilson mansion much more than this house....I read that Tabitha was dropped to recurring last year after 13 episodes...But we haven't seen her since, so I guess they just fired her?? I really liked her. I hope they bring her back with RE leaving.

I hope we get to see Kelly again this season before she's officially gone. It doesn't make much sense for everyone to just stop mentioning her, especially since silver lives with her. When was the last time we saw her? When her mom died??

The show is a lot different this year, but I still like it...Annie and Liam have mad chemistry.

I could see Jasper killing Harry, but I have also wondered if Harry and Deb will get a divorce. That could usher Kelly and Harry to end up together, which could cause a rift between Silver/Kelly as well as Annie/Silver.

They could usher them out saying they quit their jobs at West Bev, fearing rumors of their relationship would interfere with their jobs. Kelly could be written to work as a counseler at a Battered Womens shelter, or something of that nature, while Harry could be said to become the principal of a school in a different district in a small town outside of Beverly Hills.

This would allow both characters to have "moved", explaining their absence, but also allowing them to see their children/siblings regularly.

This could also allow Deb to become romantically involved with Greg Vaughans character (or any man, for that matter), which would create a great dynamic of a "troubled household" for Dixon and Annie. It could play into Dixon's further gambling problems, and Annie could slip into a partying lifestyle, or develop trust issues, drinking problems, something like that.

I would much rather have that then just have them get divorced and say Harry moved far away, because I dont think he would just ditch his kids.

I didnt realize this show was still on the air. I thought it had its finale when Melrose did. I recently caught up on all the recent episodes. Show's been good this season.

You know I didnt like Teddy at first simply bc he looked too old but Ive been enjoying him and Silver. They've made a good pair

Anyone else not like Ivy? She is just odd and she and Dixon suck together. Plus she looks way too old and unlike Teddy, I still havent warmed up to her.

Im glad Naveed broke up with Lila. I kinda found her gross. I prefer him with Adriana anyway

what an awful season finale.

god, whats wrong with this show?

that final few minutes shoulda been a montage of dixon leaving, naomi being raped, teddy/silver & adrianne/navid together, liams boat blowing up with us unsure if he is on it or not as jasper looks on, and annie confessing to what we think are her parents put it pulls back and its her parents and the cops.

something soapy. not... that.

Awful? I thought the finale was great. I loved the cliffhangers and cant wait for next season. I did not see Naomi getting raped. I thought he'd only come on to her.

I thought for sure Ryanw as going to hit and kill Harry. How ironic would that be if Annie's father was hit and killed by a drunk driver just as she left to confess to what she did. I guess it could still happen during the break if he ups and leaves the house

I thought it played out like just another mediocre episode, aside from the annie stuff.

I totally saw naomi being raped by him coming once she lied about him hitting on her, so i found it rather predictable.

I agree about harry/ryan, thats how it should go down.

There was just nothing leaving me to want to tune in next season. it felt like any other episode. I guess after that great last 5 minutes of gossip girl my bar was set too high.

I agree. I like your ideas better.

I thought it was just another episode too...that was the season finale? Rebecca Sinclair is a horrible writer - she doesn't give me anything. She doesn't know how to relationship drama or write any meaningful scenes. Looking back at these two years, there have been so little great scenes and the show doesn't feel like an ensemble. It feels like 4-5 different stories and the characters are on their own. And I still don't feel the friendships. Did Annie have any scenes with the girls? Did Dixon, Navid, Teddy, Liam have any scenes together? Where are the group scenes?

Rebecca Sinclair, you suck.

The worst thing is that both Teddy and Ivy will become series regulars next season. I can't stand both of them.

In addition to more group scenes I think the school itself should be featured more. In the beginning there were a lot of classroom scenes and other actitivites on campus (lacrosse for example), but these days we basically only see the cafeteria and the Blaze newsroom.

It's all about romance. The original 90210 confronted its characters with political and social issues which defined the characters because everyone had their own point of view. The guys on the new 90210 are constantly written as being lovesick puppies and the girls change personalities every other week so you can't really invest in any of them.

    • The letter reading was very emotional, and Maeve really got to me too. I was a little worried because Vanessa doesn't give a speech at the funeral, which surprised me, but then we got the private letter reading and her true emotional reaction and I was satisfied there. The YouTube channel I watch these episodes on (if not on our Vault), also had upset commenters talk about how Nola's line about Henry not accepting her at first/seen as a gold-digger was totally untrue. It's sad the writers don't do their homework and give fans the respect (and the characters respect). And yep, Bill got up and spoke at the funeral too, which was nice.  I didn't even realize that was Sharon Leal until you said it!  I had to Google it. I loved Sharon Leal in Boston Public back in the day haha. LOL at your Reva/Josh ALWAYS commentary. What is RME though?
    • Leslie is an extreme liar and manipulator. I'm not sure what her point was in trying to convince Nicole she wasn't trying to hurt her. As much as Eva did help orchestrate the entire plot I feel like there was too much piling on. Eva never said she wanted to be a Dupree so Anita was extremely out of line for that comment.

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
    • It always bothered me from the start that Nicole just took Mona's suggestion and never checked references.  A real psychiatrist would have done more before hiring someone. ** I like that Kat's reporter/investigative type instincts caused her to be suspicious of Eva from the start, and to try to spy on Eva and catch her as weeks went by. However, I think that Kat's so focused on what Eva did wrong -- that she won't see that Leslie is the master manipulator, making some things appear different than they actually are. I hope that Shanice's natural snoopy nature will get her to figure out what actually happened to Laura, and who really caused all the problems. *** edit to add: The show never specified what Mona's job was for Nicole.  Home manager?  Office manager?  Head personal assistant?  I'm sure there would have been a title?    Mona asserted today her upset with Eva and with Leslie.  That they used her and ruined her reputation.  I just wish I knew what Mona's job was. If Mona was an official manager, then it would have made sense for Nicole to trust the recommendation, if Nicole thought Mona had done a proper hiring procedure.  But if Mona is just an informal helper, then why wouldn't Nicole order a background check?
