I am just going to say the one thing I loved about the old 90210 was the friendship that lasted between everyone. I dont see why it cant be way with this group. I dont know I kinda miss that.

I cant wait until Naomi wakes up and realizes that it was her sister that slept with Liam and not Annie. She is going to feel stupid. I just cant get into her character. She is the vixen and I dont understand her. At least with Valerie I under stood her but this chick I do not. Her voice irrates me.

I actually like the storyline of Annie because she is cracking and acting crazy and no one realizes it.

Dont like the new guy. He looks to old to be in high school. Dont already care about him.

I am really going to like Dixon on his own and growing. It will be interesting to see what ha

Dixon still irritates the h*ll out of me. He's assuming things and well, he's just annoying!!! I'm hoping Silver will find a new love interest, I never really got those two together.

Well, it wasn't like that all the time (certainly not in the beginning). And it wasn't between everyone actually. Val had very few friends...

I'm not too keen on Naomi either. I think Anna Lynne is over acting just a bit. And what's the thing with her upper lip?

I can do without Annie. I'm really over her. Actually I was over her in the first episode... last season.

Trevor Donovan was REALLY annoying on DAYS. So far he's ok. Looks like he's improved a bit on his acting skills.

lol You would think from all my negative comments that there's nothing I like about 90210. Well, that's not true. I love this show in some weird way.

Oh, and Adrianna, how I missed you! :)

Yeah, the new 90210 isn't as good as the old 90210 when it comes to friendships.

Naomi is my least favorite character, I don't understand her at all either. She sucks as the vixen, and it also doesn't help that AnnaLynne McCord isn't sexy and is a pretty bad actress.

Same here. Dixon/Silver are ruined for me. Last season, I complained that they broke up, made up, broke, made up, too many times.....so what happens in the first episode.....they make up....then break up. WTF!!!! They had something with Silver/Ethan but they fire Dustin Milligan. Bad decision.

AnnaLynn over acting? Noooooo. LOL Have you seen her on Nip/Tuck? Over acting is her style. She's better in lower key scenes, like in the scenes with Liam at the prom.

Yeah he's not as bad here. Maybe because he has more time to prepare?

I was happy to see Jessica Lowndes again - that girl is gorgeous! I hope this Navid being a virgin angle not going to be played out for long and he better lose his virginity to Adrianna or else season 1 will be all for nothing.

Oh and what was up with the last shot of the 3 girls walking in slow motion.....we had like 3 scenes of that! Come on!

Well, this episode didn't give my any faith on the new writing regime. I hope the show improves.

I guess I'm the minority here, but Naomi's my favourite character, followed by Adrianna. The others I don't really care about.

Silver used to be a great character in season 1 - when she was portrayed as being the outsider - but she was ruined once she sucked up to Naomi at Valentine's Day. Before that she stated that she would never talk to Naomi again. Yeah, right. Now she's BFF with Naomi and doesn't give a damn about Annie - who was supposed to be her best friend. Silver should have been the one to reach out to Annie since she knows how it feels to be an outsider. Besides, Annie didn't do anything to Silver. Silver shouldn't play the holier-than-thou-card because she cheated on Dixon with Ethan while Annie didn't do anything with Liam.

I don't care about the guys on this show at all. They are all dull, not sexy and a bit effeminate.

BTW, if they want to save money, they should get rid off Rob Estes and Lori Loughlin. They don't serve any purpose at all.

I'm loving what Sinclair's done with the show! The new look is great, I like that they're going on location more often instead of doing everything on a sound stage and slapping an orange tint on it. And thank God they remodeled the West Beverly High set, the way it looked last season was not at all like the one from the original show. They need to go back to using Torrence High for exteriors though.

Lovin the trio of Naomi, Ade, and Silver!

The gang dancing to the Freakalater or whatever that s.hits called was hilarious lol.

Diggin the new darker Annie. I hate that everyones treating her like trash though. And that Mark guy was really annoying, I hope he only took pics and that she didn't sleep with him.

Felt bad for Silver when Dixon dumped her, but that's what she gets for still talking to that loser robot Ethan and for not telling D about the kiss.

Teddy didn't annoy me as much as I thought he would. Dude still looks way too old to be in high school though. I knew he was the one who pulled up behind Annie!

And poor Navid, looks like he's gonna be a virgin for life lol.

I hated the premiere. Too much I Moan and too much AnneLynne's bad acting.

I actually felt sorry for Annie, don't know why.

Silver/Dixon drama is boring and Dixon is acting all "holier than thou" that I can't stand it.

Teddy is supposed to be, what, 17? In which universe?

The one thing I loved was Adrianna and Jessica Lowndes. She is the real star of the show and the best actress IMO.

Storyline-wise, this show is firing on all cylinders. It's classic angsty teen soap opera and I'm enjoying the way they have added Naomi's sister to the mix and focused less on the saccharine antics of the Wilson family and more on some adult drama played out by teens. Adrianna is clearly the star now (I wonder if AnnaLynn and Shenae are happy about this considering they were the original stars and this girl who started out as a recurring bit part has ended up the central character after less than a year?) and I think this more grown up tone is really working. I liked seeing scenes of Liam at home, I liked Navid's jealousy of Teddy, I liked the fact they've not totally ignored last season completely and I like that they are taking Annie in a different direction. Jen is my favourite character and I look forward to this story with Ryan heating up.

However, while I understand they've revamped production, it's so unrealistic to have every single character living in a totally different house and the school looking entirely different both inside and out without so much as a mention of it. I understand they referenced the Wilsons moving into a new home, but the house Naomi and Jen are living in now is totally different from the one from last season, and both the interior and the exterior of the school has changed, I'm sure it looks like the school from Clueless now as opposed to the school used in the original 90210 (and Buffy) which is a shame as that was a nice link to history. I don't like the new credits either.

Overall though I think 90210 is managing to avoid that sophomore slump that Gossip Girl fell into and is struggling to claw its way out of, and it definitely looks a lot more expensive to produce than GG (or it's own first season, for that matter), which shows the CW is invested in it. I'm definitely impressed by it this season.

Does anyone know if Jennie Garth will be back this season? I liked where they were going with Harry and Kelly towards the end of last season.

^I agree, but im tots willing to overlook that all the sets have changed, because they look better now IMHO and the show is just working like never before, besides to have ever char mention they moved over the summer and the school got a makeover would be a bit much. lol.

rock bottom annie is love. this is soooooo Darcy after her rape on Degrassi. LOVE it!

And i love Silver. I really do. Her angry att he world bit last season/im crazy story was ok, but i wanted more. I love what they have done with her.

and the guys this season are awesome. so are the girls. the group is forming. cant wait for people to turn on eachother.

jen needs to go, the actress is awful. but that scene with ryan was hot.

Navid is an azz. The way he is acting, he's going to push Adriana straight into that new guys's arms. I bet she sleeps with him again before she does with Navid.

Speaking of Adriana, once again I have to say Im in love with her hair. She is really rocking it

Exactly how did Annie kill that guy? Did she run him off the road or did she actually hit him? If so wouldnt her car have damage and wouldnt Dixon and her parents ask questions?

im assuming - from the fact that he was homeless and the way it looked in the scene - that we was sleeping there right off the road under that tree and she ran him over. so if she ran him over, no she wouldnt have damage to her SUV because she didnt hit anything with the body of the car.

i also love that teddy found him...

    • The letter reading was very emotional, and Maeve really got to me too. I was a little worried because Vanessa doesn't give a speech at the funeral, which surprised me, but then we got the private letter reading and her true emotional reaction and I was satisfied there. The YouTube channel I watch these episodes on (if not on our Vault), also had upset commenters talk about how Nola's line about Henry not accepting her at first/seen as a gold-digger was totally untrue. It's sad the writers don't do their homework and give fans the respect (and the characters respect). And yep, Bill got up and spoke at the funeral too, which was nice.  I didn't even realize that was Sharon Leal until you said it!  I had to Google it. I loved Sharon Leal in Boston Public back in the day haha. LOL at your Reva/Josh ALWAYS commentary. What is RME though?
    • Leslie is an extreme liar and manipulator. I'm not sure what her point was in trying to convince Nicole she wasn't trying to hurt her. As much as Eva did help orchestrate the entire plot I feel like there was too much piling on. Eva never said she wanted to be a Dupree so Anita was extremely out of line for that comment.

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
    • It always bothered me from the start that Nicole just took Mona's suggestion and never checked references.  A real psychiatrist would have done more before hiring someone. ** I like that Kat's reporter/investigative type instincts caused her to be suspicious of Eva from the start, and to try to spy on Eva and catch her as weeks went by. However, I think that Kat's so focused on what Eva did wrong -- that she won't see that Leslie is the master manipulator, making some things appear different than they actually are. I hope that Shanice's natural snoopy nature will get her to figure out what actually happened to Laura, and who really caused all the problems. *** edit to add: The show never specified what Mona's job was for Nicole.  Home manager?  Office manager?  Head personal assistant?  I'm sure there would have been a title?    Mona asserted today her upset with Eva and with Leslie.  That they used her and ruined her reputation.  I just wish I knew what Mona's job was. If Mona was an official manager, then it would have made sense for Nicole to trust the recommendation, if Nicole thought Mona had done a proper hiring procedure.  But if Mona is just an informal helper, then why wouldn't Nicole order a background check?
