I don't think KMH should have submitted lead for last year. For 2006? Yeah I wouldn't have argued it. But last year, aside from the hooker crap (which was mercifully shorter than I expected and yet still too long), she was gone for months and when she got back, she really wasn't driving story, it was mostly about Lily and Dusty and her breakdown and Emily was involved in that but it wasn't necessarily about her.

Marie Wilson I think could submit lead for 2007 though. That triangle/quad was really focused on Meg moreso than any other character IMO.

I see her point. But being in a lead story isn't the same as leading the story. Margo usually ends up in all the lead stories at some point, and I don't see her submitting in lead. And just from a strategic standpoint, I question someone submitting for lead who hasn't even landed a supporting nomination. I believe her only nom came as a younger lead.

I really think KMH should consider lead. The hooker story had some really meaty material for her. What's weird is that Marie Wilson has more than enough credibility for a lead nom this year, and I can't really think of a specific scene she could submit. :)

I have to wonder what Lesli Kay would submit. Has she done anything but shepard children lately on B&B? Certainly can't submit anything with Constantine. *shudders*

The list is the most logical choice.

Well except that the brilliant Lesli Kay had zero scenes, zero material in 2007 which reminds to ask: WHY???

I'd swap her for Eileen Davidson who had the material and brought so much to B&B last year.

Can't wait to see the official lists, especially Y&R!!!!

I agree that Katie didn't drive the story which I think a lead has to do. She was a supporting character with too much airtime. I don't think she has a shot in lead and we don't really know if she even got a pre-nom. All we know is that is the category she submitted in, but it's possible others form the show beat her out.

Marie definitely should go lead, but I bet she goes supporting. KMH is up in the air for me. She had some good meaty material the beginning of the year but nothing after that. I wouldn't complain if she went supporting.

Once again B&B's cast proved that they *are* like family. I so hope for Dax Griffin to pull a Genie Francis. He's such a mediocre actor in general, but he nailed his little story and was just outstanding when his character Shane succumbed to madness and shot himself.

My only complaint is the lack of a pre-nod for Eileen Davidson. Otherwise: perfect matches.

LOL at Adrienne Frantz for best supporting actress at Y&R. The cast definitely does NOT like Victoria Rowell or Adrienne Leon for that matter. Tammin Sursok!? ROFL - it's a travesty of Natalia Livingston proportions. And as I'm already onto it: Vail Bloom doesn't strike me as outstanding or an actress at all. She's wallpaper.

I'll leave it at that. Interesting Y&R pre-nods.

wow. i am rather shocked. Megan Ward? yay! i am happy, because she was the best new soap actress, but lead? thats rather bold. i dont know that i agree with it. kelly Monaco or Becky Herbst were much more lead than her. I am actually shocked that keMo isnt on the list. she is great - despite playing a horrid char. I dont know tho... i think it would be amazing if Megan Ward won.

No mo in lead actor? wow.

I am SOOOO glad that CH got a pre-nom! she has been fab all year.

is brad Anderson too old for young actor? if so wow. and no greg vaughan? Greg & Kirsten Storms were the two stars who really stepped it up this past year and brought an entire new game to the table. He really did deserve a pre-nom.

No Lindze for younger? Humm. whatever, Kirsten Storms owns that award and if she doesnt win you may see JP run onto the stage in outrage! (Unless marcy rylan wins, or even alex c from atwt.)

and is Jason G. too old for youngr actor? I am glad to see Josh on there.

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab this episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). I thought we had the full HD version of ep.3170 on the YouTube channel, but it appears they added the wrong episode but labelled it 3170.

    • That's a name I haven't heard in a minute. Thanks!
    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
