Well, other then Lexie breaking confidentiality (which is ironically in character for her since she sucks as a doctor ), I enjoyed today's show.

I like Lexie interacting with EJ and the Ireland stuff is pretty good. Seeing all the vets interacting is great. I'm not pleased with how the quad aspect is now gone with Belle/Shawn/Chloe/Philip but I did enjoy the Phloe scenes and Loved Shawn Sr and Colleen's reunion.

John shoving Marlena into the door was actually unintentionally funny in a sadistic sort of way. Gotta love how Dee just rolled her eyes to the back of her head. Pretty good ending with John/Colleen.

I know how bad Higley can be and understand the pessimism but I tend to wonder if some are disregarding everything Days does or viewing it negatively just because of who is writing and the bad decisions. I am just as upset and people have a right to be upset and bitter. However, if they put stuff on screen that is entertaining and pretty good to watch, I just hope people point it out rather then just focusing on the negative because that seems to be all some can do concerning Days lately and while it is justified, the cast and crew are still putting on a more then decent show (yes there are some issues but still) with the vets front and center so I just think that should get some focus too rather then all the other stuff.

IMO, this may be why, right or worng, people are focusing on the negative aspects of this show right now.

Within two weeks, Martha and Brandon were fired at the height of their story, busting up the best quad in daytime right now, fans found out that Dena Higley, the same Dena Higley who did a severe hatchet job on days once before, had gutted Hogan Sheffer's stories and is now writing the show. And then, they also found out that TAHIC, Ken Corday, fired the entire writing staff. The same writing staff that, on two seperate occasions, and in spite of TDHIC's meddling, pushed this show to No. 4 in the ratings TWICE.

Asfar as I'm concerned, right or wrong, people are going to project their negative feelings onto the show, because they are beyond pissed. I'm going to give them that. Some have their own agenda, and whether they realize it or not, it does shine through.

But for this period, I truly can't blame any true fan for being pissed at bwhat Ken Corday has done ONCE AGAIN to this show....and if they want to see what they want to see, who the hell am I to tell them that they are wrong?

LOL, the Magic Goop. This is beyond ridiculous, but on the good side, we don't have to watch them try to make out like silly kids now.

I loved today's show. Actually, I bawled when Colleen and Shawny met up. They look truly like they could be brother and sister so it was really believable. I just loved that part.

Cyborg Drake is super. He is winning me for a fan now with his ability to create a really different personna. It's going to be great to see him grow into the strong, ultra-rich, man he will become. I said ultra-rich, because it would stand to reason that Colleen would leave her estate to him, too.

Since Shelle never clicked for me, I'm happy they are going. Philip and Chloe are interesting, but if they are the only two left in their age group, what will happen with them? I'm worried.

Days is so good that I can hardly wait for it to come on and actually watch it again.

    • Vanessa told Joey that her best friend had cheated and has a surprise daughter.  Joey said the same had happened to him.  I wasn't sure if Joey was saying he has an adult out-of-wedlock child?
    • Interesting. I definitely think that it's possible that Jan could be a former lover of Joey's from back in the day, maybe back when he was still married. I won't be surprised if it comes out at some point that Jan used to be an escort or something.
    • Quick question, How are you guys making time to watch all these soaps? I consider myself a pretty organized person, but since I have committed to watching more of the older soaps. I feel all over the place, and can not figure out a schedule that seems to work.  How are you all doing it?   Thanks. I will check that out.
    • Oh, poor Henry had to wait for the grave to finally come "out"! The whole things was McTavish plot dictated so that Hart could have money to pull off his scam of Roger later. The fortune is totally forgotten later. Which reminds me WHY did they fire Hilliard who actually could kinda pass for a midwestern farm boy..from JOISEY Grillo? AM and Lucy's wedding has got to be the weirdest wedding up to that point and really exemplified the McLaiby cheesy run. Universal Studios? And the Spauldings shut the place down for the wedding that only involves 6 people??? Its not even that weird that Bridget and David arent there...they didn't even invite AM's Mom or Grandfather...
    • TBH, I found Felicity's dialogue in those scenes where she encouraged Chad and Cat to admit their feelings for one another more offensive than Xander yelling (although both are bad).  And, I don't get why there is any question of Xander's behavior being offensive, given that he knew that Felicity deserved an apology.  A customer openly expressing anger at a service employee in public is awful, regardless of circumstance. I like giving the character more to do, because there is a value in representing a person with a congenital disorder being employed, given that the unemployment rate in that community tops 83%.  I just hope they find a voice for the character that matches her functioning ability.  As for Cat, I wonder if she is going to inherit any of Clyde's money?  And that was the reason for the phone call.  I know he's not dead, but he could have named her family as the beneficiary of some insurance policy if he were to be incapacitated.  And the call could have been an attorney trying to reach her to give her money.
    • Oh you may have been watching the Teresa/Tom storyline...or "Terry the tumor" as she was called.
    • Are these new?! Damn, he is in the prime of his life.
    • He is a 40 year old large grown man "raising his voice" and calling a teenage girl "careless".  That's inappropriate.  I am not going to argue at the octave of his voice although I would consider it yelling.  Felicity was visibly upset.  She also has special needs, but it would be wrong to do that to anyone in general.  Xander was out of line.  He didn't immediately apologize or admit he was wrong until Princess Sarah was okay.  Idk, go find your wife's epipen instead of berating a young girl.  Or, you know, Sarah could have asked if there was any pistachio in her scone as a pre-caution.  That's how most people with allergies that severe order things. I do think this story or plot point is silly, but acting like Xander did nothing wrong is just strange.  Even if Felicity DID do something wrong was he just going to continue to go on and on while his wife was going into shock?  That's the proper reaction lol.
    • I didn't get that so far so I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever pick back up.  I must have chosen bad episodes because what I saw had some really bad Irish accents from supporting/day players. They were hard to get through and I just didn't have the patience to deal with them. I don't think these accents would be allowed to go through today. I assume these accents were ironed out as the show went on--reminded me of Deas's terrible accent on GL that was dropped because it was so bad.
