AMC - Darnell was recently on GL (may still be), been in a ton of plays this year and directed a film.

AW - Tom Eplin recently got married I believe. Produced and starred in a horror flick after he left ATWT.

Days - Don't know what Gloria Loring is doing but her son, Robin Thicke, is having a lot of music success right now.

Louise Shaffer now writes books, and has had a few published since leaving.

Laura Maria Censabella continues to be a playwright.

tom Reilly went back to working in commercial production after he left World turns.

Renee Godelia is now back writing scripts in daytime.

Daniel Griffen chose to leave daytime and return to his previous career.

R. Scott Collishaw left daytime and I believe heard he went back to law.

- Nancy Bradley Wiard (Y&R)

She retired in 2003 or 2004 as senior coordinating producer

B&B:

Jeff Trachta - he's doing good: this spring SOW had an interview with where he talked about a personality show he's doing in Las Vegas

Joanna Johnson - with "Hope & Faith" which she executive produced over, she's probably developing new projects or resting on her money

Paulo Benedeti - he quit acting and is doing sth. totally different - gooooooooood idea, Paulo! LOL - but I forgot what it was. It even made him to the White House. You can search their photo archive...

Question of my own:

Waht happened to writer Maria Arena who worked on B&B and Y&R in the late 80s/early 90s???

So, THAT's what happened to Tom Reilly? Commercials? Really?

Anyways...

>> Candice Earley

Married, and out of the business.

>> Robert Kelker-Kelly

Wasn't he working as a pilot for awhile?

>> Beverlee McKinsey

Retired, lives near her son, GH director Scott, in Southern California.

>> Marsha Clark

Saw her a few years ago as a judge on Y&R. Also does some improv, I think.

>> Timothy Gibbs

Last I've heard, he was working in the construction industry, and out of the business completely.

>> Hal Corley

Lives in NJ, writes plays.

>> Stephanie Braxton

Has started acting again, appearing in small, independent films and the like.

>> Lewis Arlt

Runs a real estate office in upstate NY.

>> Gene Palumbo

Dead.

>> Susan Bedsow Horgan (OLTL)

Works as a life-coach.

>> Michael Laibson (GL)

Has transitioned into directing and producing for the theatre.

>> Maria Arena

Well, she's married to Trent Jones, so wherever HE is..., lol.

About Roark--he graduated from my university, U of Victoria, and came back to do an acting workshop and was pretty clear that he didn't miss being on DAYS--saying out of all the saops he knew of they had the lowest level of what they let you as an actor do--basically saying he'd be given his lines, told where to stand and film it--which he foudn very frustrating (maybe this is what Ed Scott meant about lack of direction at DAYS?)

I always find it shocking that someone could go from having a lead on a show to working in construction or real estate (as I believe Lisa Peluso is) but of course sometimes that industry can really wear you out and you just want a change.

    • Not me, I am having withdrawals, I need that soapy drama lol
    • I faintly remember the tv movie where Ted Danson played the lead.. my late mom liked the movie and she also read a few of the novels and enjoyed them.
    • Columbia is the U.S. release. CBS is the international release.

    • Paula and Jeanne’s first time writing Alex and Stephanie. It didn’t seem like there were any changes in Alex at all lol but I can’t help  but think that that’s more on RSW than the writing. I didn’t see a big change with Stephanie either, but I did enjoy her scenes with Kayla, whose character has gotten so much stronger since last week. I hope we get to see a lot more of their relationship, and their relationship with Steve as well. As for Steve and Shawn stealing the drug to try to save Bo, idk. I don’t dislike it, but I just don’t know lol but I also think that it is time for Steve to pass the torch on to the next hero.  And finally, Javi showed some kind of spark! I was a little worried in his first scene today that he was going to continue to be so obsessed with Leo, but him demanding that Leo drop the investigation into Rafe and Gabi could actually be pretty interesting. I don’t think that would’ve happened under Ron. And if we’re forced to endure Javi/Leo, let them at least have some kind of actual conflict, instead of the forced, biased crap that we were subjected to. And speaking of Leo, one year ago today, he got Dimitri’s letter

Btw, why is Gabi so beholden to Javi? Cousin or not, if I was her, the minute he said to her, “If he goes, I go”, I would’ve been like  Also, are they going to go there with Philip and Gabi? I’d prefer that than Gabi getting involved with Alex.
    • She does look good in blue. I wish they'd do more with her hair, change it up the way JMW does now and then
    • Hahaha - this is hilarious (and a ton of wigs at use!). The closing shot!!! LOL
    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
