Y&R's Phyllis is a lot of things, but stupid has never been one of them. She wouldn't report to JAIL because baby daughter Summer has a fever? Which means the warden will be furious and time could be added on to her already lengthy six-year sentence?

"This isn't the Alamo," scoffed son Daniel, usually not the voice of reason in the room.

Um, Phyllis? Do you know how many more colds and fevers that kid is going to have before you are released from prison in God-knows-how-many years?

"My baby is very sick!" she cried in the ER. "I don't have a lot of time!"

She has less now, thanks to this ridiculous display.

Hey, Y&R: ENOUGH with Saint Phyllis of the Incarcerated Mothers. We KNOW her. She let Daniel spend his entire childhood traveling overseas with his rock star dad (!) and couldn't even be bothered to visit him on his summer vacation or holidays. She never even sent him an octopus for his birthday. So this "My baby or my life!" stance makes no sense. It just dumbs down Phyllis and every character in her sphere.

The only "urgent care" needed here is with this storyline.

All I can say is, BRAVO Ms. Hinsey!

I agree. They write Phyllis like she's a saint. Is this supposed to be the same Phyllis who lied about Daniel's patermity, ran Christine & Paul over with a car, put a dead octupus in their honeymoon bed?? Now she's such a hypocrite.

She's dead on....Phyllis of old would have gone to jail, all the while demanding an appeal to get her out....Since she became "domesticated" she's lost her fire.....

Now that I can agree with. Everytime she says something like that, I be like a huh, what about Daniel. I'd be a bit jealous and mad at my mom if she treated me like that. It was ok for Danny to party like a rock star with his dad. But o no not Summer.

Gulp...this marks the first time I have ever agreed with Carolyn Hinsey...but she's right, she's SO right.

That's the gist of it (read my signature -cough, cough-). What really shocked me is that Phyllis got her phone call, and then tried to sneak in ANOTHER one! Well, I guess she figured she waltzed out of jail easily before, so why not break the rules any damn way.

I thought that she lost all custody and visitation rights and was barred by Danny and Gina from even seeing him. Remember when Danny came back to town in 2003 and Danny still wouldn't let her even see a picture of him. It was only afterward we found out later that Danny had been a neglectful parent.

A CLASSIC example of character assassination.

TPTB love Michelle Stafford, so she'll always be a lead actress on Y&R. If Stafford were of african or carribean ancestry, would she face the same treatment as the underrated & lovely Victoria Rowell & the under-used Kristoff St. John?

When will Michael Damian return to Y&R? By having him on, you give Stafford more airtime.
