Wow. If that's true, I really don't get the idiots in charge. Even if it's money - fire Jett, Jeremy, Stephanie, every other pointless, fanless character that has cluttered the show in recent months or years. This show is going off the tracks fast.

Wow this is huge.

I'll just repost what I said in the Drake thread since it applies to both.

Well, all I can say is that it's going to be very emotional and there's going to be lots of drama. I hope everyone will keep watching to see what happens.

Let the madness begin.

What's the source? I don't believe Hogan Sheffer nor Ed Scott would fire Deidre Hall. That's like AMC firing Susan Lucci or ONE LIFE firing Erika Slezak. Pure B.S.! If this is coming from the same sources that are saying Drake is gone, then I bet NEITHER are true, or DAYS is gonna do like they did in 04 with the Salem Stalker story and make people think that people are dead then bring 'em back in a few months.

"If" axeing John, Marlena, and others is true, I think this is a tactic by SONY, and the new senior executive vice president, Steve Kent, to dramatically cut down the cost of DAYS, re-package it, and prepare it to be shopped to other outlets in 2009.

They directly said his goal when appointed was to make Days and Y&R "financially efficient and create program extensions"

but then again, the rumor "birdies" have been wrong before.

If this is true, it's like the apocalypse.

I wouldn't put it past Sony at all. They are all about big sweeping changes these days.

Evan where'd you read that? Just curious.

If they were to get rid of them both they'd have to showcase Bope like you couldn't believe. Obviously it'd be a big blow to recognizability, think of all of the changes in the past few years.

I mostly believe the Drake thing, but this? I seriously doubt it.

But if it's true I hope how their exit is is good. I mean, I would be in shock if they were fired and got some horrid exit.
