Except she was....end of matter. Have you watched the scene. Phyllis and Sharon are only loud when the camera is on the TWO of them. When it was on Dru you can BARELY hear Phyllis or Sharon so how can you say they were raising their voices? 2nd it was a private convo. How is someone telling you a secret give you the right to interrupt any and every conversation that involves said secret? That makes no sense at all. Dru saw them talking. She didn't know what it was about. She had no right to walk over there. Shes stupid and crazy and she died because of it.

Phyllis has made mistakes in the past but shes not making the same ones now. She isn't doing any of that stuff you mentioned except for her affair with Nick which to me isn't a big deal since if it wasn't her it would have been someone else. Sharon wasn't there for Nick and a woman like Sharon (the way she is written and appears to be on the show) is just plain BORING when compared to a diva like Phyllis.

This whole Phyllis is at fault because she began blackmailing Brad and Sharon thing is a load of crap. Itsl ike you're connecting event A with event F. Completely irrevelant. Then I can say its SHARON'S fault because she slept with Brad right? And hence her actions provided the drama and the drama caused Dru to fall right? This is all based on your reasoning.

Dru was definately raped. I hated that Y&R rewrote their history yet again to malign Dru as this whore who needed to schedule an appearance on Maury. She was in a drugged and incompacited state and Malcolm took advantage. And if we're talking about people needing to mind their own business, Phyllis should've fell back because Lily's paternity certainly was none of hers.

I would love to see Ji Min and Jill breaking in a few desks too....I just don't want them to write him out after the latest "Let's teach Jack Abbott a Lesson" storyline...Ji Min, in my opinion, besides Adrian, is the only newbie I love watching on the show.

No she wasn't. Phyllis was. Period.

Sure did. Did you?

No they're not. Dru sees them, walks over & then as Sharon begins to grab on the phone she & Phyllis begin raisin their voices.

No it wasn't.

Sharon told Dru what happened, thereby includin Dru in the situation.

The FIRST thing Drucilla asked when she walked over was what was goin on cause she had seen them arguing & had a good enough idea about what they were arguin about.

Yes she did.

In addition to bein Sharon's best friend she was also CO-Head of that shoot. She had every right to do so.

No. Crazy would be Phyllis & it's still Phyllis fault.

No.

Mistakes are Mistakes.

What PHYLLIS did, has done, will do & continue to do are FELONIES. And she continues makin them now.

So because you don't like Sharon it's ok to minimize the fact that Phyllis had an affair with a married woman's husband & acted like a complete wench to her for darin to have a problem with it?

Sharon wasn't there for Nick?

Was this before or after Sharon was at home every day stuck in a deep depression because their daughter had died & doin everything short of BEGGIN Nicholas to work through their issues?

No it's not.

SHE put the wheels in motion & continued to keep the train runnin until she was arrested. Then had the NERVE to act SURPRISED when the arrest happened.

Nope.

Sharon sleepin with Brad has no BASIS on Phyllis CHOICE to blackmail them.

No it isn't.

That's based on your irrational hatred for Sharon & need to justify and/or excuse all of Phyllis felonies.

I love Victoria and I'm sorry she lost the baby she wanted so much. On the otherhand, I loved seeing JT/Vikki together and I'm relieved she isn't tied to Brad for life now. I just pray she divorces that jackass as soon as a decent amount of time has passed.

Interesting that Jack's campaign manager sensed something was up with Victor supporting Jack. Poor Jack is so sure he has the upperhand. I do feel a little sorry for him.

Amber was pretty slick about getting her way today. I wonder if Cane was in on it or if he just grabbed the golden opportunity that Amber handed him?

I could do without the porn storyline. It's making Daniel look like too much of a loser on many fronts. In this day and age is it possible he woulndn't know all his internet activity would be monitored at a big company like NE? I don't think so.

Lol irrational? And Sharon sleeping with Brad DID impact Phyllis' choice to blackmail her since she was HOUNDING Phyllis for her affair with Nick. Seems only fair that Sharon get back what she dishes out. Shes a two face pathetic excuse for a person. You talk about set the wheels in motions and choices. SHARON set in motion that little night of ravenous sex between her and good old George Kaplan or whatever he's calling himself. SHARON set in motion the blackmail since she made the CHOICE to commit adultery with Brad and keep it a secret. SHARON set this entire chain of events in motion since she berated Phyllis anychance she got for sleeping with Nick only to turn around and do the same thing with Brad. SHARON MADE IT A WAR. Phyllis had no choice but to use it to her advantage in the boardroom. DRU CHOSE to walk over to the cliff. DRU & SHARON CHOSE to grab the phone. Dru & Sharon chose to PULL the phone towards themselves. HENCE DRU & SHARON CHOSE TO COMMITE SUICIDE. Therefore Dru & Sharon = Idiots while Phyllis is once again THE ONLY, "Queen Bee" in this house as she proudly pointed out to Diane Jenkins several years ago. Dying over a phone...lol. Its so laughable.

The depression excuse is so played out its not even funny. Its not like Nick didn't lose Cassie either. And YES given Nick and Sharon's history I don't see a problem with Phick because deep down Nick doesn't love Sharon. Its been proven time and time again. And the same is true for Sharon. She doesn't love Nick. Shes done enough damage on her own to prove her own guilt of that. So why shes tripping over the fact that he finally found someone whos exciting, passionate, fun, and loves him entirely is beyond my comprehension. If the writers had not made it Phyllis it would have been someone else and I wouldn't have cared either way.

Lily's scream was hiarious too...one minute shes laughing and grinning stupidly and the next shes screaming hysterically.

Good question. If they want to keep the character and I hope they do, they could have Victor hire him. Victor did promise to see Ji-Min land softly if he helped take Jack down. Maybe Jill will help get him a job at Chancellor once all the chips fall. I just wonder who will own Jabot when all of this comes out? Will it revert back to Chancellor? Or will Victor snap it up somehow (God forbid).

Egh, for the longest Dru was nothing but smiles and respectful to Kevin, you know, the criminal who preyed on her daughter, slept with her when she was a minor, and gave her an STD. Yet, at the same time, she couldn't stand Daniel, mainly because who his mother is. It wasn't until the end of last year that she finally came to accept Daniel.

Actually she had major problems with Kevin until Kevin "saved" Lily's life & even after that she still didn't like him & wanted Lily as far away from him as possible.

Her & Neil's main issue with Daniel had always been his friendship with Kevin.

And since he (Daniel) was intent to continue his friendship with Kevin (while becomin increasingly involved with Lily), they (rightfully) wanted their daughter away from him.

Other than that they had no real problem with him (which they both stated several times).

Oh really....What problem is that? That my viewpoint doesn't agree with yours and therefore its not right? Get real. This isn't a popularity contest and I could care less if you agree with me. You're the one arguing the most ridiculous case of the century besides Duke Lacrosse and the OJ Trial. Find me a jury that would convict Phyllis of being guilty of Dru's suicide and I'd pay you any amount of money in the world.

    • I'm pretty sure Lucy and Bridget never even have another scene together for the rest of the time they're both on the show. Bridget isn't even invited to the wedding! The lack of community feeling and continuity of non-romantic relationships during this period is very jarring. Characters suddenly only seem to interact with a handful of other characters, rather than characters across the canvas. I'm deep into 1997 in my watch right now and find that it's even stranger because the show goes back and forth between ignoring history in order to manufacture some kind of separation between characters (for example, at one point Amanda refers to the Coopers as a family that the Spauldings "barely know," despite her and Alan spending the better part of 1996 going to war with Buzz over 5th street, and Alan has absolutely no reaction when he finds out about something bad that's happened to Abby, which seems pretty out of character given how close they were in 95/96) and ignoring history in order to create a sense of community that doesn't quite fit (characters who couldn't stand Amanda are suddenly acting all buddy buddy with her). The wheels really feel like they're coming off in 1997 (although I know some would argue that the wheels started to come off years earlier). Watching the Marcus/Dahlia romance again from a 2025 perspective is so weird. Marcus is a full grown man who must be at least in his mid-20s and he's dating a teenager who is not only still in high school, but is still fully a year away from graduation, and no one says anything about how creepy that is. I feel like the buzz around Marcus gave the illusion that the show was more invested in him than it ever actually was. Even during his "big" story where he's arrested for Cutter's murder, he actually doesn't appear on screen very often. He's imprisoned, Griffin is brought on, other characters make a fuss about trying to get him out, but there's a long stretch of time where he doesn't appear at all. I've been keeping episode counts while I watch and between Cutter's death in mid-November of 1995 and the end of the year Marcus/Mambo only appears 7 times (and of that only twice in December).
    • The letter reading was very emotional, and Maeve really got to me too. I was a little worried because Vanessa doesn't give a speech at the funeral, which surprised me, but then we got the private letter reading and her true emotional reaction and I was satisfied there. The YouTube channel I watch these episodes on (if not on our Vault), also had upset commenters talk about how Nola's line about Henry not accepting her at first/seen as a gold-digger was totally untrue. It's sad the writers don't do their homework and give fans the respect (and the characters respect). And yep, Bill got up and spoke at the funeral too, which was nice.  I didn't even realize that was Sharon Leal until you said it!  I had to Google it. I loved Sharon Leal in Boston Public back in the day haha. LOL at your Reva/Josh ALWAYS commentary. What is RME though?
    • Leslie is an extreme liar and manipulator. I'm not sure what her point was in trying to convince Nicole she wasn't trying to hurt her. As much as Eva did help orchestrate the entire plot I feel like there was too much piling on. Eva never said she wanted to be a Dupree so Anita was extremely out of line for that comment.

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
