Thanks Q Steph..

Okay, maybe YOU and anyone else can jump in on what I have to post about.

Did anyone pick up big time on the scenes from yesterday's show between Summer and Victor? I am asking because of the flashbacks that we had today with Nick.

I think the scenes were bittersweet between Victor/Summer; because of the fact that this possible revelation could be coming.

Awww....Pink Is the New Blog is showing some love for Dru/Victoria's exit..."And finally, I would be remiss as a Young & the Restless watcher if I didn't mention what happened on the show yesterday afternoon. Now, I had heard that the character of Drucilla Winters (played by Victoria Rowell) was going to be leaving the show but I had no idea that it would be in such a dramatic fashion! Dru was one of my favorite characters ... mostly because the girl was bat-[!@#$%^&*] crazy ... and I'm sorry to see her go. But I gotta admit, I loved the way they sent her off:040507_peaceoutdru.jpgLOL! They threw her ass over a cliff and onto the rocks below -- in slow motion. I laughed so hard I had to watch the shocking ending over and over and over again. Here is a clip that I recorded from my DVR so that you can enjoy it too:http://admin.brightcove.com/destination/player/player.swf' bgcolor='#FFFFFF' flashVars='allowFullScreen=true&initVideoId=734740166&servicesURL=http://www.brightcove.com&viewerSecureGatewayURL=https://www.brightcove.com&cdnURL=http://admin.brightcove.com&autoStart=false' base='http://admin.brightcove.com' name='bcPlayer' width='486' height='412' allowFullScreen='true' allowScriptAccess='always' seamlesstabbing='false' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' swLiveConnect='true' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash'>Dru went out of the soap world of Genoa City the way she lived ... butting her nose in other people's business and in fine dramatic fashion -- I'd expect nothing less. The clip is better if you watch it over and over and over again. Well ... I'm sorry to see you go, Drucilla Winters, but you were fun while you lasted. Peace the Spork Out!"

One thing that shocked me about today is that Victoria basically told Brad that she knew he loved Sharon. That really should have put Brad's radar up even in the midst of tragedy. He's got to know there is no way Victoria is just going to sit back and share his affections with Sharon.

I remember the last time Victoria Rowell was on "The View" they made no mention what so ever that she was on Y&R, they only talked about her foster care experience.

I'm so glad someone brought up that Y&R considered to be the cream of the crop among daytime had the most cheesy special effects ever since DAYS had those awful cliff scences a few times in recent years and people complained about that.

Lily's screaming was annoying.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
