Don't rely on me to up any antes if this little "folie" goes moribund. I don't have the wit.

Which brings me to your second comment. It's an assumption I could have made. Was I the one who made it (those late night cocktails.. never know)? What I mean is almost every good writer here, and a few who aren't so good, has divulged that aspiration. Speaking as someone who struggles with the written word in two languages, I assumed your posts were from someone who writes and writes well. From there it's not a stretch to believe you could be.

No, Sylph seemed to think I was writing a soap pilot. Though judging by the last comment maybe I completely misunderstood. I do write, and I had a background in screenwriting and journalism in HS and college, but IMHO I'm a long way from doing it for a living, and if I ever do it won't be for the soaps though I do love them. I love other things more. I'd write for them if I could do it without compromising future ambitions, but I don't think I could in this day and age. I'm just focused on paying the bills and writing and making a portfolio in my free time, so it's strictly menial office jobs and temping for me, I just got out of school.

That's another reason you don't see me doing fanfic like a lot of people here: Do I have enough ideas for the shows to fill one, sure, would I like to, sure, but I wouldn't know where to begin in writing it, for one thing, whether it would be in something like breakdowns or dialogued scenes, whichever way I tried to articulate ideas wouldn't do it justice. Also, I don't want to be able to be tracked professionally back to amateur online fanfic.

Now we have the same thing, just different screen names and different people getting scammed. You have one unsuspecting poster retelling these little stories to the board, to the same person who gave them the stories in the first place, only under a different name. I don't understand why it hasn't been stopped given what happened the last time.
