Retail therapy is the best therapy.

I just bought a new outfit for my date tonight. I am wearing my hair all different. I tried to get in for an appointment, but they couldn't get me in.

I am gonna be pretty!

As many of my friends put it (especially both my ex and my bestfriend), you're only an alcoholic if you don't drink and are going to meetings. If you simply get drunk all the time, you're just a drunk. If you're fun when you're a drunk, you're a lush. I think Shawn is more of a lush. :D

Anywho, I just got back in from the gym (2 hours, thankyouverymuch). I'm loving the fact that I've finally got shoulders and arms for the first time. Now, if I could just get rid of this little blob of jelly around my navel that's covering up some nice abs (I especially like my upper abs. I can put my hand on them and flex them and feel them coming out and over the bottom of my ribcage), I'd be happy. In any event, I simply love all the cute little 22 year olds out at the clubs who feel the need to come over to me and my bestfriend and tell us how hot we are. It's small things like that that make me not really mind being almost 36.

Lots of crap went on this week I see. Responding to the posts that stood out for me.

I sure hope so. The BB: SON & SON Survivor games made last summer lotsa fun on SON.

I wish I had the same sentiment, but alas, I do not. I don't see things getting better anytime soon. And banning members & reporting posts are not the solutions to the problems. They never were.

No discussing things on the message board that are message-board related or related to each other. Okayy....... Are we still allowed to talk about soaps or will that be going away as well?

And to all of this drama: I've barely visited SON for a few weeks now. A vacation if you will. You see, all of these issues of late remind me why exactly I left SON at the time that I did. I still have written my blog, though at times, I've been even too busy to do that. In any event, I just woke up to the fact that all of the reasons that I had for leaving when I did are still very much valid. Sucks, but it's true.

See, this whole "drama" thing is always lost on me, because quite frankly, I know what threads it's mostly to happen in, and avoid them. Admittedly that's harder to do if you're a fan of the show where those threads break out. But I honestly, don't get it half the time. I think SON is to nice to a lot of people, who clearly don't deserve warnings, or continued warnings and should be banned. Ban them. If they don't like it, oh well. But the drama is just way to played out and way old. If you can't avoid it, don't get sucked into it. Laugh it off. Report it or don't. But it never helps to feed into things.

I wonder when R!ck will announce the other nominees...if there ARE any others.

Off to the rodeo. Then, coming home, going to bed, and going to work bright & early in the morning. <_< Bastards're making me miss church. I hate CVS.

I hope all of you are having a great weekend - I will be spending this weekend with some special friends - and they know who they are! ;)

I think we bought enough alcohol this afternoon for us to be drunk for 3 days! LOL! And let's not forget the cool whip and strawberries! ;)

Have fun ya'll --- I know I will be! ;)

    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
