On the Canadian TV Guide website, Nolan North (ex-Dr. Chris Ramsey, Port Charles) had a less than flattering comment about soaps to USA Today:

In an interview with USA Today, former Port Charles star Nolan North (ex-Chris) boasted to the newspaper about lending his voice to the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. "I'd rather be known as Raphael for the rest of my life than Dr. Ramsey from Port Charles, some stupid soap opera." To be remembered, Nolan, you would require an iota of talent and grace. It's safe to say you're in the clear, buddy.

I get soaps aren't prestigious, but I hate when former actors bash the genre. Hell, they once thought the money was good enough to take. *RME*

He's probably just bitter because he has only done voiceovers and video games since PC.

I actually LIKED this guy and I still think he's talented. He just doesn't have stunning daytime good looks, that's why he's not getting hired.

I feel sorry for him more than anything...he hasn't been able to find STEADY acting work since PC. Maybe his pornstar looking wife can be the next Jenna and make the family some money.

Don't know him but it sounds like he's biting the hand that feeds!

Daytime isn't all that great recently but there was a time, not so long ago, when there was better acting on GH and OLTL than there was on ABC's entire Primetime schedule.

Nolan North should be ashamed of himself. But those attacking him calling him a bad actor should as well. Nolan North was very good on PORT CHARLES as Chris Ramsey. It's a shame he's got the attitude about soaps, but he has a right to his opinion however wrong he is, but that doesn't take away from his talent as an actor.

Nolan North has had steady work since he left PC according to his IMBD profile. Most of it is voice over work but it has been steady empolyment.
