Nikki's running for Senate is very interesting...mainly because I want to see how dirty Jack and Victor will be towards her...You know they are going to drag all her business out in the open... from pole gyration all the way to pill poppin.... Plus too, add other family problems to be tossed out there for the world to know as she begins her campaign... I can see it now:

Reporter: "So, Mrs. Newman, is it true that you met your husband while dancing as a stripper? What was it like to marry instantly

in to wealth?

Reporter 2: "Isn't it true that you had suffered an addiction to pain medication as well as alcohol?

I just see this thing heating up into a big SECRETS coming out thing until a winner is chosen

Nikki needs to be reminded of that a lot because while she'd digging up Sharon's checkered past, she seems to forget that she was a gold-digger too in some ways.

Seriously. I love Nikki, but the woman needs to get real. There are more skeletons in her closet than in the average graveyard!!

I like Victor and Nikki both so much more when they are at each others throats. It's way more fun. Victor can be such a jerk and Nikki gives the snark right back.

Today's show was really good, imo. There were a lot of humorous scenes. Just watching Jack's reactions to the things Kevin and Gloria were saying had me laughing. I like bitter Kevin.

I'm really starting to like the vibe between Jill and Ji-Min. Ji-Min has grown on me. I like him when he's more than just Jack's puppet. I wonder were William is?

I loved Victoria today. Up until the point that Brad won her over that is. Her snarky attitude with Phyllis was great.

I actually found myself rooting for Nikki today when Katherine was encouraging her to run for office. I guess I just felt the call to girl power. Jack is acting so entitled right now. Neither one of them is fit for office though.

I loved Jack putting Gloria in her place! Beautiful.

You know, I have major issues with the overall direction of this show but the last couple of weeks have been alot better. I am at least invested in some of the storyline but it is still way to inconsistent. Love me Jill and Ji Min too Vee! And yes Nikki's bun.... had to do a double take. Who got fired for that hair malfunction?

Sigh...mypoorNikki! They had her sitting there at the Athletic Club/Fine Dining restaurant looking like something out of Chicken Little. And Nikki? Really? I love that you're a snob and all, but its kind of hard to stick your nose up at people while you look like a damn cockatoo.

The stuff with Emily made no sense. Where the hell did she come from? For someone who doesnt watch ATWT, have they shown her worrying about Alison? How did she know about Amber and track her down? Why does she think she's into porn?

So now we get an episode where Gloria and Kevin tell the entire world that Jack ruined Jabot?! This is infuriating to me because you know it will not lead to Gloria and Kevin's downfall. Latham clearly believes that Jack is the devil and she has NO IDEA how to write him. Any character with anything resembling layers or dimensions is out of her silly reach.

I enjoyed Extreme Catwalk for a chance to see Jill being bad again, although it was a shame she was acting. It was also nice seeing Ji Min in doing something of substance. The shennanigans of Jabot would be very interesting on a character driven soap. You have Gloria/Jill fighting because of Will Bardwell, Jill moving on with Ji Min, Cane working his way up, Jack secretly owning the place, etc.

To me this would be far more interesting than Jack's run for Senate at Newman. Maybe it's just me but I think that is a rehash of Latham's story on Knots Landing, when Greg (their resident Jack) was running for Mayor and they even had the environmental problems IIRC. But even for Y&R standards it's not original and can't hold a candle to Y&R's previous business stories.

I really hope they do good by Jess Walton and pursue her story.
