Positive changes for ATWT would be to fire Austin Peck. He doesn't bring anything to ATWT. We could be getting back Andy or Frannie. Instead we get boring Brad...played by...*^*%*%&^$%&%!!!

Well I am happy because my demographic (Males 18+) went up for DAYS this week.

At least my demographic is fitting for what I am currently feeling for the show.

Steve, you mention GL and their budget but it took GL a long time to adjust to those issues. Maybe once Days adjusts it will be fine.

As for bashing, there are some that all they do is bash. At least you and some others offer up ideas and what you think could be done. Some this rip things apart. That is what I meant. I see what you are saying but I have seen a nice mix the past two weeks on Days. There has been more movement and direction. We saw Bo and Hope this weel. We are seeing Celeste alot. Shelle had a long break. We had some nice family scenes with Kate/Philip and Billie/Lucas/Sami/Chelsea. I am starting to see improvements and I am going to hold on to that.

I know the ratings went down under Langan but not like this. They dropped to like a 3.3, which was low at that time, but we didn't see Days lose as much as they are now. The balance has always been up and down at Days. 2001 we had all teens and Jack/Jen/Greta all summer and 2003 we were bordering on bad balance too with too much teens. Those were Higley's months and she pushed the teens and Kate/Roman quite a bit and threw in a few scenes of Bo and Hope. Sami didn't become ig under Higley until May and then they had to rush her wedding to Brandon and the big reveal. The balance has always been up and down but things were happening so things stayed stabilie. The problem is you have so many issues combining with the cancellation comment and things are just falling apart.

One interesting thing that I noticed last week and continuing into this week is that both Y&R and AMC's share of the audience has gone up while Days has dropped.

AMC and Y&R played around with the 15 and 9 some in February but for the most part AMC has an 8 for quite a while. Y&R gets up to 15 at times. Days had even gotten up to a 9 share back in January. I didn't go back to December so not sure if they ever got to a 10 or not.

With AMC & Y&R dropping this week and last week they still held on to the 15 and 9. Are some of Days fans checking those shows out maybe? Or is it just Days drop into the 7 share range for 2 weeks straight now evening things out.

I have felt for a long time that many soap fans bounce around from show to show - so who knows.

Even with GH's rise into the 3's in the last month or so they still have not gotten above 9 in share which means they are still not denting their competition there.

WOW AMC was dead last in girls 12-17 last week. Only 6000 of them tuned into the show.

Well, I knew ATWT would go down, thanks to basketball tourneys. But so much for the theory the inclusion of college students would bump the ratings up.

Re: fanbases only tuning in for "their" star. I know some truly just tune in for "their" star. BUT, in their defense, I can't blame them for not getting hooked on other stories. I've watched ATWT ever since I can remember, and other than Parker and Faith, I thought February was pretty much a bust. And those kids have been MIA in March. TIIC just "dropped" the story, which really doesn't make a lick of sense. Is it any wonder people with no history with a show just leave?

As much as I have resented discontented fans backing stories I didn't give a rip about *coughLusty1.0cough*, I don't expect them to stick around through crap either.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of Goutman's office, trying to spin the dropping demos admidst the St.GoldenGwen pimping "Let's Kill Adam" story. Teenagers aren't stupid...and they have memories.

After seeing those promos for ATWT recently, I'm not surprised people didn't tune in. I like Jennifer Landon, but seeing that commercial where all she did was let out those shrieks and screams, there's no way I would've watched that!

I can't believe DAYS numbers have fallen so fast in such a quick time frame. I remember in January DAYS got one 3.0 or 2.9(can't remember which one) because of the MLK holiday and thought DAYS was finally on an upswing and then bam February came around. Whoever thought it was ok for DAYS to go snoozeville for a sweeps month was a damn fool! GH went all out for sweeps and other soaps at least attempted to gain viewers. DAYS didnt seem to care one way or another and based on these ratings it looks like fans arent coming back this time. I actually thought last week was pretty good, especially Fridays show which I felt was the best in a month or so but it only got a 1.9! Are you serious, a 1.9?! I mean I never thought DAYS would get that low with Hogan as HW. If DAYS doesn't do something quick then DAYS may not be able to recover.

One thing I have ALWAYS loved about DAYS or used to anyway were the big umbrella events(Maison Blanche and Aremid) or huge events like Greta's Corronation, Salem Bombings, SSK up until Marlena was revealed as the killer, Marlena being possessed, Sami's big schemes, Princess Gina saga, and many, many others. DAYS has no big events like this anymore and to me that is a HUGE reason fans are leaving in droves. Right now the show doesn't provide this and to me that sucks because thats why I have always loved DAYS. For 2 years now DAYS hasnt provided me with a huge umbrella story or huge event, what gives?

Not many people have rivals, its basically everyone against EJ currently. Is anyone cheating or scheming right now, not really except for EJ or Willow who works for EJ. There is rarely any romance and as I type this out I am realizing how bad DAYS has gotten storyline wise.

I do enjoy Hogan, but since he has came on full time some things just get dropped without any mention whatsoever. What happened to Lexie and Tek? One day Marlena was talking to Kayla when they both found out John was missing from his hospital room and Marlena hasnt been seen since. John has his kidney taken out, but no one seems to care not even his loving wife, GMAFB! There are countless other scenes that should have been played out on screen.

I trust Hogan a lot more than Corday and believe Hogan's interview about wanting Marlena to be used A LOT more like she so deserves. Something isnt right behind the scenes and I don't think its just money issues.

I am just diguisted with the happenings on my soap in 2007 and pray things get better.

I'm not inclined to agree about needing the huge fan base viewers support. First, the characters are caracitures instead of useful in fresh and original storylines. They are etched in the walls. Steve and Kayla didn't bring back the fans and they were the most beloved of couples. The story line is what has hurt them the most and that is what would happen with Bo and Hope and John and Marlena. Without a good, original story (difficult considering how many years stories have been written for them) they won't bring in more viewers. JER wrote the Dr. North using the beloved Wayne Northrup with the beloved Deidre Hall and it was one of the most hated storylines on Days. It hurt both actors, in my view. I'd hate to see Dee or Drake involved in something like that again. Now, it's Steve and Kayla. The story for Bo and Hope was monstrous last year. I loved Bo and Hope and ended up hating them and not watching them at all. What Hogan needs to do is give the fans what they want in great adventure and answers now. We have John with a mysterious past that needs to be revealed and the purpose behind the DiMera/Brady hatred. Let the romances develop instead of forcing them, like the on-the-run one with Shawn and Belle. They don't need to be the story, but players moving the story along and finding romance along the way. Not like Abby and Max. Who of the fans who have watched Abby from birth end up in overalls, grease on her face and working on cars and letting a middle aged man (LOL that's what he is to her age group) drop his burdons on her. This is supposed to be romance and what to give the fans. Abby deserves a fine man who has the same creed she does and they need to be in a project together that will pull the young people along with them. I think Hogan has a great cast of characters and can turn the tide by giving the fans stories they can root for.

I'm surprised the Days ratings are so low. But I can't say that its too exciting right now. I guess that's why I write fan fics. At least I can play out what I'd like to see.

Hogan has dismally disappointed me so far. Billie sleeping with Nick? Is that the best he can do with my favorite character? I like the teens but they are on too much. And I hate to say this but Shelle is dead in the water without Jason Cook and I was a huge fan of that couple.

Bottom line is that this new Days is boring and unoriginal.

I really don't think DAYS ratings are going to get any lower than this, so that is a positive side/spin on this. They can't, I mean even GL doesn't get 2.0's, so they are bound to go up or at least stay the same.
