Members Chris B
I saw these on another board: 1. The Young and the Restless 4.4 (+.1) 2. The Bold & the Beautiful 3.1 (+.1) 3. General Hospital 2.9 (-.2) 4. All My Children 2.6 (-.1) 5. One Life to Live 2.5 (same) 6. As the World Turns 2.4 (same) 7. Days of Our Lives 2.3 (-.1) 8. Guiding Light 2.2 (+.1) 9. Passions 1.4 (-.1) ------------------------------------ Personally I think that DAYS and ATWT deserve their low ratings. DAYS is just plain boring the stories aren't fresh, the characters on the frontburner are boring, etc. I still would dump Patch/Kayla & Willow, bring back Jack/nuJennifer and some of the more interesting characters from the past. I'd take Hogan's worst ATWT stories over what we get at DAYS. As for ATWT, the show is just too heavily focused on the teens. Even the top rated shows can't depend on a teen set. GH may not use their older vets, but they use people in their 20s, 30s and early 40s. On ATWT the show is centered around teenagers and pre-teens. It's absolutely ridiculous and I can't understand what they are thinking. You are NEVER going to be able to center a soap around teens and get a large enough audience. There has to be a change at ATWT or they will have major problems. Now they have two MORE young characters joining the cast. It's ridiculous. I hope they continue to drop. Glad to see Y&R perked up, but I had hoped GH come continue to dominate against B&B.
Members Steve
I'm glad to see AMC drop! The resolution of the Satin Slayer storyline was just asinine. I hope the ratings remain low until McTavish's work stops airing.

Members whyamcwhy
I do feel bad for Days though. I think the show is well written but I do think they are making a mistake not focusing more on Bo/Hope and John/Marlena. The Shawn/Belle storyline holds no interest for me. I was watching the show for a while but I have lost interest in it again.
Members Ponz
If DAYS was "outstanding" and getting ratings like this, the show really *would* be screwed. IMO, it was painfully boring last week and these numbers are not surprising in the least. I can accept that Hogan is building these stories based on a long-term plan but that approach only works if you give viewers something to keep them interested on a week-to-week basis. I think it's basic business sense to have at least one story nearing a climax/big twist during Sweeps. The LUMI/EJ plot could and should have been that story since it's been building for months. It's puzzling to me that Hogan seems determined to drag it out until May Sweeps. Why not have the wedding this past month? I don't dispute that the day-to-day characterisation and dialogue is good but if everything on the show is filler material, ratings like these are inevitable. The lack of balance doesn't help, either. I don't accept the argument that the "big four" are ratings grabbers but even those who aren't fans of John/Marlena/Bo/Hope are tired of seeing the same faces (most of them newbies) day in and day out. Members Chris B
Hogan's characterizations may be good, but his stories are terrible This was a problem he had on ATWT as well. On DAYS I don't see him building or beginning stories, just a bunch of really awful stories that won't be interesting ever. I've never seen someone whose stories are just so boring and uneventful during the developmental stages. The beginning of a storyline should be the hook and the best part. Members Ridge
I disagree completely... DAYS has been very far from outstanding. Very far. How can such unbalance, boring drivel be called outstanding? If Hogan was not writing this people would be slamming the writer for introducing new characters, making them instant front burner characters and some instant heroes. And balance going out the window. Corny tarot cards? Screaming actors (over and over again), a good bad guy that has just become ANNOYING? The Nick and Chelsea show is NOT working. Point blank. DAYS is getting ratings that it deserves. It is sad, very sad that DAYS is approaching lower and lower territories. (What is DAYS lowest rating anyways?) And the demos aren't working either. What will it take for this show to just stick with the good stuff and deliver?? That sucks considering all they have been featuring heavily are 20 somethings. And rank number 7?!!! OMG!! That is ATROCIOUS.

Members Manny
DAYS tied all time low being 2.3, I believe... I don't think they've ever hit 2.2.. But they definitely did hit 2.3 last year, so.. I also believe that this is a new all time low for PASS... I have to agree that DAYS is not good and I wouldn't be surprised if they hit 2.2 next week... I am sad because of it though, because DAYS is my all time fav soap and I hate to see what's happening, considering how much hope I've had when Hogan was coming... ahhhh... the times when I though DAYS would be fighting with B&B for #2... well, those times are over... WAKE UP, CORDAY & SHEFFER!!!
Members Mason
This is getting beyond ridiculous. Hogan, WAKE UP and write the damn show! I KNOW you can do better than this! I hate to admit it, but even I'm starting to get bored. I still enjoy the show, but damn, we need MOVEMENT already! Every day we're seeing practically the same scenes over and over again with Sami/Lucas/E.J. and Nick/Chelsea. It's time to step it up! This 2.3 HAS to be a wake up call!
