Why not have Amanda and Kay as co-headwriters? They could work well together. The last thing AMC needs is Kay as a sole headwriter telling some sperm storyline like she did on Y&R. I'm happy about this news, but WHO WILL TAKE OUT THE TRASH? Lord knows, we don't need another Ellen Weston, James Lipton, Jimmy Reilly, Tom Langan, Margaret DePriest, Scott Hamner, et. al. Let's hope Frons realizes this, puts a toy in his behind and takes his "hip, trendy gone wrong" defeat like a man. Whoever gets installed as Head Writer of AMC has to know or at least research the RICH history of this show, develop those characters, make this show the multi-generational, realistic soap it can still be.
