I wouldn't say JKJ sucks, but Phillip is definitely an entirely different story. Considering the risks Belle and Shawn are taking with Claire, if Phillip were even somewhat sane, I would support him having custody of her. But, his anger often gets the best of him, and who knows what he would do if Claire were with him. They're battle is really jeporadizing the child's life.

Someone help me, I loved Willow taking Philip down today. That was too much. It's about time someone gets him in the leg.

Poor Nick, he just has no luck when it comes to Chelsea. I was wondering if Maggie was going to take that glass of wine out of Chelsea's hand. When Maggie said she told Dr. Creepy to take her out for a happy meal I loved it.

DrewHamilton, in your avatar Is that the woman who was on Nip/Tuck? I recognize everyone else.

It was a pretty good episode today.

- LOVED seeing Willow take Phillip down a notch. She is definately the best thing about DAYS right now.

- Shelle was pretty boring, but Martha Madison continues to amaze me.

- Good Kayla/Marlena scenes. Good grief, Kayla, open your EYES to what the DiMeras can do.

- LOVED the campiness of the Steve/John story.

Oh, God, Claire was SUCH a !@#$%^&*] today. I mean, the girl doesn't cry when she's bleeding but she bawls AFTER Belle bandages her?! GET OVER YOURSELF, child!

Anyway, who else is afraid that Hogan has finally destroyed a character without just cause? I know Dr. Reibert; the Dr. Reibert who was FRIENDS with Nick. The Dr. Reibert who was a male SLUT. I don't know this character who is mean to Nick, is violent and who is a "PREDATOR" of women! This is one rewrite that, while entertaining to watch, has me shaking my head.

Willow, as always, rocks. Annie just gets HOTTER every day. DAMN, that blue number she had on!

Good show. Nice way to end the week.

Did not care for Willow today as much as I did yesterday. JKJ rocked today. I totally disagree with many on him. Given what Philip has been through, I think it's understandable that he is a bit unbalanced. The yelling is in character. It's who Philip is and he has alot of rage inside him. He has been through alot and lost so much (Chloe, Belle, his leg, Claire, etc). He is desperate right now. He thinks of Claire as his and probably also as his ticket to getting Belle back. The only thing he has done so far and the only bad acting on JKJ's part for me was Wednesday when he nearly threw Willow overboard. Other then that, I have no complaints whatsoever. I think it's been spot on and in character. I loved Philip today. You could see the hurt in his eyes. Good scenes.

Martha rocked today. Those scenes when Claire was missing were heartbreaking. Then, when Claire was crying and Belle and Shawn tried to help, it was very sad. I hate that this story makes Belle and Shawn look bad as parents but I guess desperation and fear of losing your child can drive you to stupid and reckless things. Good scenes.

I loved seeing Maggie and her helping Nick was good. I despite Dr. Rebert and I like the punch and little setup to Nick standing up for Chelsea and fighting for her. Good stuff.

Great to see Marlena. This is the Marlena I love. It actually makes me want her to be in story without John because she was wonderful today in her scenes with Kayla. Loved Dee and MBE. MBE has shined this week. They need to get better wardrobe for her though because she looks so frumpy in what they give her most of the time. I also liked Marlena's voiceover as they shifted to Steve kidnapping John. Loved the John/Steve scenes. I really liked when Steve got conflicted and tried to turn back but couldn't. There was too big a hold on him. I also like how he created the distraction and how it wasn't so simply to get out. They made an effort to make it realistic.

Good show. Very solid week. Best week of sweeps IMO.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
