This is what cracked me up...Phyllis all but sniffed around Nick, despite his troubled marriage, and she didn't care about the consequences at the time...yet, she's getting upset that Nick is remembering his anniversary to Sharon? Sorry, but Sharon and Nick (despite their betrayal of each other) built a relationship and a family over those ten years, so it is only natural that they will never forget the love they shared....Phyllis at some point or another has thought about her loving Jack....

Hey, DeeDee...Wanted to say.......pp_greet_028.gif to the boards...

Okay, after seeing today's eppy, Colleen is realizing that Kevin has in fact changed in her eyes....I smell a pairing up of them (it would be funny just to see the look on J.T.'s face if Colleen and Kevin did in fact have a thing going on after all this mess)....

DeeDee, your are welcome....

I actually loved the bond between Sharon and Nick...true, Sharon will always look down her nose at Phyllis, but her heart will always care about Nick...When Phyllis was abducted, Sharon was there to lend her support to Nick (despite Nikki coming on her high horse to make some snarky comment about how Sharon could care less about the woman)..

Speaking of Nikki, she could have save the whole 0894.gif and left Sharon alone....As long as Nick and Sharon have a son together, Sharon will always be a part of the Newman fold, so Nikki might as well just suck it up and find something better to do with her time. Love Nikki, but she needs to stop tripping at times.

"Im gonna star 69 this heffer right now!" LMAO. Only Dru can say stuff like that and get away with it

"Carmen pulled a Sheila and then killed her lookalike to frame me for murder" Oh Dru. Im guessing they will write her out by putting her in the funny farm

look at that body. I dont blame her. Id love me a piece of Brad myself

Nikki is an overbearing troll. I cant stand her ass. I love how Sharon handled her today. I wish someone would just tell the hag to f-ck off

Best thing about Jana being the killer is that she's leaving. She has outlived her usefulness. I know people dont like how they connected the reliquary into this but it makes sense. Ever since she joined, I knew she had something to do with the art. It was so obvious and there were tons of hints and clues. They dropped it but picked it back up. Killing Carmen over this though was stupid. Colleen put it well when she said she killed Carmen for nothing. Good idea, horrible execution. Oh well this story killed 2 annoying bit-hes with one stone. No pun intended

What was the point of the Nick/Sharon flashback and him buying her a gift. And referencing their wedding anniversary? Are they going to restart the Sharon/Nick/Phyllis triangle? I must say I loved their scenes today as Ive always loved those two and hate how the red headed tramp came between them and now living Sharon's life

I love Nikki. However, I hate what she's been reduced too. Before the Sharon/Nikki sniping used to be fun, fresh, and served a purpose. These days there pretty random and dumb.

Before I would agree. But Brad has turned into such an egotistical, self-absorbed ass, and I could care less about him and his hotbod!

    • Well, Josh was a horndog. LOL Yep. It was one of the first really weird things Reva did with her PPD. She became obsessed with the idea that Dylan and Sam should get married. Sam was only 17, and needed her parent's permission. Reva helped them leave town so they could go to a neighboring state where Sam was old enough. Ross, Billy and Josh stopped them, then Sam went to India to try and persaude Justin. Reva followed her and didn't tell Josh she was going. While Reva was gone, Josh advertised for nannies, and Harley applied. He ended up hiring someone else. But when Reva returned, she hired Harley because (in her weird mental state) she wanted someone she could trust with the kids (because she feared Josh was trying to get rid of her and that Vanessa wanted the children.). After Reva starts treatment, she asks Harley to stay until she's stronger because she's good with the kids. At the party, Reva starts going off the rails, insulting Justin and Josh hauls her to a private dining room to ask WTF. Reva starts confronting him about the "affair" with Vanessa, and he realizes she is weird. He locks her in the dining room and frees Mindy and Van from the ladies room (where Reva has locked them in). Van starts telling him that Reva attacked her and needs help.  Reva escapes out the window of the dining room and goes back to the party, climbs onto a table and starts a striptease. Josh gets her to stop, takes her home and after filling Ed in, decides to go to the doctor the next day. Reva then takes off and spends days running around town, coming on to a guy she thinks is Billy, Billy, Hamp, Frank and Roger.  Roger takes her to his apartment and takes nude pictures of her, which he tries to blackmail Billy with. He wants the deed to the land the Towers is on in exchange for them. (Billy had been left the deed by a sweet old lady who lost her home in the 5th street fire. Roger had stolen the deed from her before she died. After Roger took those pics of Reva, she saw him hide them, and took an envelope from the hiding place. She didn't realize she'd taken the deed and not the pictures.)  Anyway, Billy and Vanessa trick Roger into burning the pictures, claim the deed and at the Towers opening reveal that Billy owns the land and therefore the Towers. That's what led to Roger and Alex's breakup and Roger and Mindy's affair.
    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
